Did the Peekskill riots happen near the Hollowbrook Drive in theater?
It seems the Lakeland Picnic Grounds (the site of the first riot) later became the drive-in( off Jay Road),although Howard Fast refers to the site being off Division Road, whice is the SW extension of Oregon Road. He also says the second site was half a mile further up the road at the disused Hollowbrook Country Club, which I believe is not the same site as the current Golf Club.
There are also contemporary references to the cemeteries being close to the entrance of the country club ,which does not tally.
It is odd that that there is so much confusion over the topography of such a recent event.
Did people get killed for protesting during the war in Vietnam?
On 01 May 1970, under orders from President Nixon (Commander in Chief) US ground forces entered Cambodia, penetrating approximately 21 miles, for approximately 60 days, in search of COSVN (Central Office South Vietnam-communist headquarters). On 04 May 1970, (another standard routine) protest/riot erupted at Kent State University, state of Ohio. Ohio National Guardsmen arrived, on line, they were face to face with the "students" (protesters/rioters), stones, bricks were thrown at the Guardsmen; Guardsmen opened fire with their M-1 Garand rifles (WWII Rifle) killing four students. Crosby, Stills, and Nash, commemorated the incident with a song, "...Tin Soldiers, and Nixon's bombing...Four dead in Ohio..."

Has a baseball team ever won a protest?
I don't know if there was an offical protest or if the game went under review, but there was a famous game between the NY Yankees and the Kansas City Royals where, with NY leading in the top of the ninth, George Brett hit a HR to give his team the lead. However, NY manager Billy Martin pointed out to the umpires that the bat had too much pine tar coated on it, which was illegal at that time. The umpires agreed and ruled that George was out and the HR didn't count. Soon after however MLB said that they would count the HR because taking it away took away from the "integrity of the game". The final inning of the game was replayed but with the HR counting and Kansas City won. So I don't know if Kansas City protested, but a game was replayed due to a change of an on field call. Now I think of it, I'm pretty sure it was an offical protest, which would make the answer yes.
