Society's main standard for judging abnormal behavior is?
This answer can be found in pretty much all Abnormal Psychology textbooks. It's my favorite subject, and I actually just finished taking this course. Abnormal behavior is classified as any behavior that deviates from the social norms of the culture or society in which that person lives in (keeping in mind the importance of cultural context - that what might be viewed as abnormal behavior in one country may be viewed as completely normal in another) A key factor in considering if a behavior is abnormal or not, when it becomes a problem, is if it violates the comfort zones of the majority of others in the person's presence.
How will a child at like with ODD and conduct disorder?
The best way for me to answer this question is to list the diagnostic criteria for both disorders. For Oppositional Defiant Disorder, children might (1) lose their tempers, (2) argue with adults, (3) actively defy or refuse to comply with adult's request or rules, (4) deliberately do things that annoy others, (5) blame others for their misbehaving or mistakes, (6) be easily annoyed by others or appear extremely sensitive, (7) be angry and resentful and (8) be vindictive or spiteful. For a true diagnosis, a child must exhibit at least 4 of these at a more frequent rate than what is considered normal for their age.
For Conduct Disorder, a child must exhibit a repetitive and persistent behavioral pattern in which the rights of others or societal norms are violated. The child might exhibit (1) aggressive behavior causing or threatening physical harm to others or animals, (2) non-aggressive behavior causing loss of property or damage, (3) theft or deceitfulness and (4) serious rule violations. Three or more of these behaviors have to occur within the last 12 months, with at least one in the past 6.
PTSD is typically diagnosed through a clinical interview where a mental health professional assesses an individual's symptoms, history of trauma exposure, and the impact of those symptoms on everyday life. The diagnosis follows criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) which includes symptoms such as intrusive memories, avoidance, negative changes in mood and cognition, and arousal/reactivity. Other assessments and tools may also be used to confirm the diagnosis.
Psychological disorders associated with talking too much?
Talking quickly and erratically is one possible symptom of mania and manic episodes in bipolar disorder. There are many treatments for mania and bipolar disorder.
But just because you talk too much doesn't mean you have either of these, or any other possible disorder. It could simply be a harmless personality trait.
Freud would also say that talking too much is a symptom of an oral fixation, meaning something traumatic happened to you during your oral phase of early development, although there is little evidence to back this up.
Self-harm can be a way of coping with overwhelming emotions or experiences. It may provide a temporary sense of relief or control, but it's important to seek help from a mental health professional to address the underlying issues and learn healthier coping strategies.

Why do people degrade other people?
To make themselves feel better. They want what other people have. A boy who did well in school would be put down by some kids because of how smart he was and how they wanted to be as successful as him.
A good story to illustrate:
Two fishermen were watching a bucket of crabs. The one said, "Why don't ya have a lid? They can get out..." The other replied, "No, they never do, watch-" The two men watched as one crab put its claw on the edge, and started sliding up. At the same time, another crab grabbed the back leg of the climbing crab and pulled him back down. The morale: people put others down to make themselves feel better.

Simple. In two words: Frightened and Threatened. Narcissists are often originally drawn to confident people with high self-esteem. That is because they need to use them, rest in their light for a while so to speak, then they suck the life out of them when they are not always receiving the adoration they need. If you criticize just once, you pay. The attacks start, and the narcissist is then on a road to lower your self-esteem to make you dependent and frightened so you do not leave them. The thing is, they are the ones dependent on YOU! They are frightened that if you are gone they will not be able to draw their Narcissistic Supply from you .
Never, worry about the Narcissist. They survive in spite of acting like they won't (it is a ploy to manipulate and control you). They will play the victim for a while, but all the time they are just looking for another source of supply. Sadly, they will find some unsuspecting person who will be drawn into their web for a while and the cycle will repeat.
The best way to improve your self-esteem is to get awayand continue your therapy. Let your therapist help you gain the strength to leave or you will NEVER, EVER get your self-esteem and self-respect back. As long as you stay with the narcissist he will chip away at you. He will remind you of your "sins" against him which is what he will consider your therapy. He will pretend he is supportive, initially, because he is too cowardly to fight you. But underneath he is furious and very FRIGHTENED that you will figure him out and leave him, and he will not have you to insult or belittle anymore in order to boost his own ego. And, after you stop your therapy, he will get even more aggressive in his attempts to beat you down. Narcissists are always plotting to emotionally destroy those closest to them. It is their basic trait.
I would like to add this:
I could not agree more on what is said above. Your therapist is your best ally on these situations, they are trained on all aspects of the human mind, so to speak. And yes , they know exactly how the narcistic person operates. Never fear.
PS: I am psychology major taking advanced courses. ! Hope I have been of service.

In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders selective mutism is described as a rare psychological disorder in children. Children (and adults) with the disorder are fully capable of speech and understanding language, but fail to speak in certain social situations when it is expected of them. They function normally in other areas of behaviour and learning, though appear severely withdrawn and some are unable to participate in group activities due to their extreme anxiety. It is like an extreme form of shyness, but the intensity and duration distinguish it. As an example, a child may be completely silent at school, for years at a time, but speak quite freely or even excessively at home.
