Why did some 1930s police departments say That is all Breckenridge on their police radio dispatches?
They didn't. They said "That is all (insert their last name)." So in this case, the police dispatcher in the cartoon you got this from is saying "That is all Breckenridge" Breckenridge is his last name.
(end of entry)
New entry: Thanks for your answer. I coincidentally received this same answer from a former policeman acquaintance of mine. I was trying to find one of the old cartoons where I heard "That is all. Breckinridge," and finally found an example: Donald Duck and the Gorialla! Here is a link to it, for anyone who would like to hear that infamous phrase: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GyiXa3ou2Y . Thanks again! Russell / KCTexan

Where is the fuse box on a 2003 Toyota Corolla?
In the 2003 Corolla, the fuse box is underneath the steering wheel. You must lay on your back so that you can look upward from the floor of the driver's side. There is a wide rectangular covering you must remove to see the fuses.
Sadly this fuse panel is located over the lip of the dashboard plastic. What I mean by 'lip of the dashboard plastic' is the part that your knee would hit if you were sitting in the driver's seat and tried to bring your knee to your chin. The reason it is important to spell this out is that you cannot easily see the fuse panel, even upside down on the floor in the driver's side with your head on the gas pedal. It's hard to believe that the fuse panel would be in such an inaccessible place. And that, by the way, is the reason people come to this site to find out where the fuses are.

When was the first car radio installed in a car?
Maybe not the first radio, but an interesting story:
Radio's were first in homes and someone found a way to put a radio in a car. Actually 2 brothers in the 1910 worlds fair parked a car in front of the exhibit hall with a working car radio that they designed and installed. They called their invention a "Motor-ola", in reference to the "Vic-trola's" or record players people had in their houses. Everyone was excited with the new invention that was in the vehicle. Eventually the two brothers formed a company called ------- "Motor-ola" (which evolved into the corporation we know today as Motorola). True tale.
Usally not. The only link I see is that these are usually on the same fuse. Ohm check the fuse. Also check that the dimmer switch just isn't disconnected or turned off\down.
-edit-
Possibly - I installed an aftermarket stereo on my Subaru Loyale (1990) and had the same symptoms you described. After troubleshooting for months, I discovered that during the stereo installation I fried the actual dimmer switch. When I replaced that, everything came back online. If the fuses check out, try replacing the actual dimmer switch. You can check this by bypassing the dimmer switch - the dash lights should come on full-power if this is the cause (connect the wire going into the switch to the wire going out of the switch).
