Generally speaking in the radio industry a station is identified as Active Rock, Album Oriented Rock, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, Modern Rock and the like based on the extent to which they plat rock music and the time frame or format referenced.

1. Pull both side console panels off the center console. (These are by your feet in the front).

2. Remove the screw on either side that has the shifter panel attached.

3. Pull the shifter panel up at the rear and down at the front to pop it off and pull it back a little. It won't remove completely due to the shifter.

4. Remove the two screws that you just exposed below the traction control/hazard/airbag panel and disconnect the wires attached to the panel.

5. Carefully pull the trim up from around the HVAC controls and the radio. You also have to remove the center wood piece.

6. Now you can remove the screws holding the HVAC and the radio in place and pull the radio out.

If you have the sirius radio some good stations are the Boneyard, Octane, hairmetal, and so on. If you have normal radio, the best thing to do is keep searching until you find a station you like.

Enter your secret code as follows; pause no more than 15 seconds between steps:

3. Press MN again to make the last two digits agree with your secret code.

4. Press HR to make the first two digits agree with your secret code.

5. Press AM-FM after you have confirmed that the code matches the secret code you have previously written down. The display will show SEC, indicating is now operable and secure.

If you enter the wrong code eight times, INOP will appear on the display. If this happens you have to leave the ignition on for at least an hour and at that point it will give you three more tries.

If the code is lost or forgotten you have to contact the dealer to have them reset it for you.

The fascia that covers the center air vents down to the space just above the ashtray and console must be removed, this is fairly easy to do, just take hold of it and pull straight back toward you. It will make a sound like you are breaking it but it will pop off. The rest is fairly obvious, you will see Hex head screws remove them around the radio and then extract the radio from its space, on the back of the unit, press the connector tabs in and remove the connector and next the antenna wire.

The radio is 1 1/2 Din a 2 Din radio will not fit with out cutting.

It should be a 5 digit code (you have to call an acura dealer with the serial number) just press the digits and it will unlock. Hint... if you've entered the wrong code you may have to remove power to reset it.
