If another vehicle is so close to you that they would rear end you if your slammed on the brakes, don't brake, rather do a "blind spot move", that is, check over your shoulder and in front, especially if the available lane is to the left, then swerve around the animal if possible. You would want to swerve right if you could.

if the adjacent lane is blocked and the car is too close behind, maybe tap your brakes a little and go forward even if you will hit the animal. I wouldn't speed up, that would do more damage to your vehicle and the deer.

to me that is actually the right thing to do so that other vehicles are able to see that there is a vehicle there and to be careful and cautious. the only way it could be dangerous is when other drivers attention is on your lights instead of the road. most people are just nosey. lol. Cars fequently stall, especially if they are a clutch. If your car is not a clutch, iIwould have a mechanic look at it. It could be a spark plug issue, and you don't want to mess around with that.

You would think a reputable car lot would want to make things right - BUT there are several considerations: what did your paperwork say about the condition of the car when you purchased it? Was the reason your car broke down caused by something that they claimed had been inspected and found to be OK? I am assuming this a used car or you would be under new car warranty. Used car lots work under what they call a "tail light warranty". That means when you drive it off the lot, they are no longer responsible. A lot of things can go wrong with a used car that are not predictable. But if you were intentionally mislead, you need to get a certified mechanic's diagnosis and take it back to the lot and see what you can get done. They may be willing to fix the problem, trade you out to another car or just turn their back on you. If you are prepared to do battle, gather some support. Check with the BBB to see if the lot has had complaints before, etc. Contact your local TV station consumer affairs person and see if they are willing to help you (with the power of the "press"). I hope you don't have to learn a lesson the hard way. But if you bought a clunker, you own a clunker. Next time look for lots that offer some kind of warranty or guarantee. Also, take the car to a diagnostic center or reputable mechanic and have the car gone over before you buy it. Hope you can work it out.

It depends on which way your car is sliding. If your car's back end slides to the right, you'll want to turn your steering wheel to the right. Same basic principle the other way. Car slides left, turn your wheel left. Eventually it should straighten out so you can regain control of the car.

In the United States, a broken yellow line in the middle of the road indicates you can see far enough ahead to check for oncoming traffic to safely pass a slower vehicle in front of you. Normally you have to listen to the RPM rate to know when to change into ANY gear on a stick-shift/manual transmission car. probably yes. The caterpillar engine would have no problem pulling it. You will notice slight power loss because of the added load but no problem towing it. You should observe all precautions involving the automatic trans in the Avalanche. You should use a dolly or something to prevent the wheels from turning the driveline as the automatic doesn't get lube when being towed with the engine not running.
