If you mean the ignition system, Thankfully in all of GM's infinite wisdom, even though your car is only a '92, you have a distributorless ignition system. Follow your spark plugs to your coil packs, unbolt the old ones, and bolt on the new ones.

If referring to the ignition switch, you need to pull off the center of the steering wheel, remove the steering wheel, take the cover off of the steering column, remove the combination switch, then unbolt the ignition switch and reverse the steps.

NOTE IF YOU HAVE AIRBAGS USE CAUTION!! If you can afford it, take it to a dealership, airbags explode and get very hot when they do. So please make sure you follow this procedure: align the steering wheel to the " straight ahead" position, remove the SIR fuse from the fuse block, then the CPA (connection position assurance) device form the driver's side airbag, then the 2 way SIR yellow pigtail at the base of the steering column. Then remove the dash pad by removing the screw covers, then the screws, then lit UP on the rear of the dash pad, then lift up on the outer corners and pull back in it, then remove the insulator pad, then remove the cpa device and then the pigtail connector from the air bag module. Then remove the negative battery cable, and follow the above procedure

I would recommend 34 to 36 for optimal gas mileage and performance. Never exceed 44 pounds(in fact anything over 40 is too much).

With Ign key off, hold in RCL button, Clock should come on, press AUTO/EQ button, right side to increase min, and left side to increase hours. Looks like you have to go all the way around to back up time. Also found that if you are tuned to a station broadcasting a digital stream (shows the radio station type or call letters, you can hold the RDS button while the radio is on and it will sometimes set the clock for you. I don't know why, but is seems to work on some stations but not others....maybe some are not transmitting time.

have you tried contacting the dealer or a dealership and give them the Vin number and they will send you a code or reset it from on star if equipped

If you are planing the relocate or install a diode to get more power you are wasting your time. It takes about 30 to 50 miles and the computer will learn to reprogram its self to stock horse power.

Remove the ignitions coil. # Remove the spark plug using a quality socket with a rubber or foam insert. # Inspect the spark plug condition.

Reverse procedure to install.

If you are changing it because your vehicle won't start when it is cold or humid, don't bother replacing it. Instead, you need to disable the PASSLOCK system. To find out how to do that search for "cut the white wire Saturn ion" on youtube. Good luck.
