Is eating freezer ice bad?

eating freezer ice is the least thing to do especially if u dont have a cold water, it's not safe... first it is composed of contaminated water because of the food inside the fridge, freshmeat leaks, and if ur unlucky and ur still using the freon fridge it could cause damages to your health in the long run. so it's still better to put a water in a stainless container and wait for ten minutes for u to have a cold water than take the risk of eating something u don't know what it's made of. -BELLE

What is the importance of a public relations plan to public relations practice?

You know how the saying goes that there are no stupid questions? Well, I'm sorry, but this is a stupid question. A plan is imperative to the decision to expend resources on a program, project or campaign. A plan implies that there is an objective, and you have a game plan to reach it. If you don't have that, there's not much point to PR.

What are some examples of Psychological egoism?

Any scenario in which one does not consider the point of view of the "other person". We are all the other person to the another person. That guy or gal. If one places themselves in a situation in which he/she imagines themselves as switching places with whom ever he/she in interacting with and views his/her actions from a different perspective, it then becomes the opposite of egoism.

Egoism is not considering the fact that one is not alone in the world and thus experiencing life from a sort of movie perspective. Of course he/she thinks of themselves as the main character when the truth is that we are all background cast in the movie of life.

Here's 1 example:

-Tailgating

People who tailgate are acting out of egoism. It increases the chances of death if an accident occurs of some situation in which the brakes need to be slammed on. They do not consider this (in some cases) and feel as if their agenda is more important than endangering the life of the human(s) in the other vehicle. They do not put themselves in the other persons shoes because they are late, wanna go with the flow (follow others- break the speed limit), etc.

Basically, it's not considering the following thought or something related to it in your head when doing something that will effect others: "Would I want to experience how I'm affecting other people?" In a way it's an ignorant evil.

What is meant by 'spiritual and cultural values'?

  • Cultural values are beliefs passed down by shared traditions of people in your environment that were instrumental in shaping your views of food, dress, music, government, and religion.
  • Spiritual values are beliefs that set the standards by which you govern your life. These values come from the source that connect you to God. For some it is religion. For others it becomes a relationship that was established by God's authorized messenger Jesus Christ!
  • Spiritual and cultural values are the elements that govern the choices a person makes in life, which are considered to be socially acceptable. Those values must consistently result in such practices as integrity, equity and justice.
  • Spiritual values can be loosely defined as ethical or religious values that reflect one's beliefs about life, while cultural values can be defined as values predominant in the culture we live in. More often than not these values overlap -- especially in a society where values are so hard to define. May I suggest that you look up "Lifestyle and Values" in Marriages, Shack-ups and Other Disasters by Kurt Meyer.

Is a good heat conductor a good insulator?

It really depends. Glass, for example, does a fair job at conducting heat, but it is an insulator to electricity, which is why it is usually used for the insulators on power lines. Metal, on the other hand, is usually a conductor of electricity, and a conductor of heat as well, so it depends.

5 reasons why you study history?

1. Recognize mistakes.

What this means is that through the knowledge of what different people have done in the past we can make better decisions about the future. For example, after WWI Germany was left in complete disaster. Because of that along with other factors it ultimately led to WWII. With that knowledge most countries that have lost wars since then are given a reconstruction period to help rebuild and stabilize the country.

2. Human Curiosity

We humans have always been curious about what happened before. Sometimes our curiosity is answered and sometimes it remains a mystery. For example, there are many theories about how the pyramids were built, but there remains no hard evidence to support any. In order to answer questions such as these an understanding of history plays an important role.

3. Preservation

Humans have a tendency to want to be remembered for something after they are gone. Otherwise what is the point to life. Our parents instill in us many things. Some of which we pass on to our children, or even utilize in our day to day lives. When we get to the point were we know are time here on earth is short we will look back and wonder if anyone will remember me when I am gone, and for what. This example is on a small scale. Now think about all the important events in human history. If we forget them or simply choose to ignore them, we are essentially forgetting who we are and where we came from.

4. Interesting

Many people argue that history is boring. I believe that this is far from the truth. Everyone finds some part of history interesting, just not all of history. Maybe you can care less who won at the battle of Troy but find it interesting to know that Columbus was not the first to discover America, the Titanic's maiden voyage would also be its last, or that Henry Ford did not invent the automobile. When you study history pay attention to what interests you the most, you might find it surprising. After all that is the point of history, to remember. Humans tend to remember what the find interesting and forget what they do not care about.

What are the advantages of the scientific method?

The advantages of the scientific method... the scientific method is very useful when you have a problem that you can't figure out using your common sense. Here is an example( this is off of the worksheet I am working on) Ralph's isn't making enough free shots. His coach says he is holding his hands incorrectly. This question is an example of how the experimental part of the scientfic method is useful. But you would need to go through the other parts of the scientific method to get an accurate answer.
