What is the difference between multiplexer and demultiplexer?
A multiplexor is a device that takes two or more signals and encodes them on fewer (often, on one) wire. A demultiplexor is a device that reverse that process.
What is the meaning of the acronym EDVAC in computer generations?
The meaning or EDVAC is Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer
What are the disadvantages of the Win-Win Spiral Model?
Win win situation can let you get short term benefit but it has its own drawbacks. Some of these listed below.
Two people were asked to accomplish a job. If one is giving his best and other is just doing it, then implementing win win for their performance review will give an impact that working hard doesnt matter. It will create a mental delema that if working hard and working "Just OK" results in same, then there is no point in working hard. working ok will do.
it leads to Loyalty loss. when a perticular employee's extra efforts are not being treated in proper manner.
What is the definition of availability in software engineering?
it means the data can be easily accesed any time
rules used to capture some logic or knowledge in the form
IF (condition) THEN (action or assertion)
Used for expert systems or computer reasoning.
In 1837, Charles Babbage, a British professor of mathematics described his idea for the Analytical Engine, the first stored-program mechanical computer. The Analytical Engine was designed to be powered by a steam engine and was to use Punched Cards, which was used to program mechanical looms at the time.
What made the Analytical Engine unique was that it was designed to be programmed.
It was because of this and the fact that it would be more than 100 years that any similar devices would be constructed, Charles Babbage, would be considered by many as the "father of computing". Because of legal, financial, and political obstacles, the Analytical Machine would never be completed. Charles Babbage was also difficult to work with and alienated the supporters of his work.
In 1939, John V. Atanasoff and Clifford Berry developed the Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC) at Iowa State University, which was regarded as the first electronic digital computer. The ABC was built by hand and the design used over 300 Vacuum Tubes and had capacitors fixed in a mechanically rotating drum for memory.
The ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer), constructed in the US in 1943, is widely regarded as the first functionally useful electronic general-purpose computer. Influenced by the ABC, it was a turning point in the history of computing and was used to perform ballistics trajectory calculations and used 160 kW of power. World War II is known to be the driving force of computing hardware development and one of such use of computers was in communications encryption and decryption.
The UNIVAC I (Universal Automatic Computer) was the first commercially available, "mass produced" electronic computer manufactured by Remington Rand in the USA and was delivered to the US Census Bureau in June 1951. It used 5,200 vacuum tubes and consumed 125 kW of power. 46 machines were sold at more than $1 million each.
The microprocessor eventually led to the development of the microcomputer, small, low-cost computers that individuals and small businesses could afford.
By the 1990s, the microcomputer or Personal Computer (PC) became a common household appliance, and became even more widespread with the advent of the internet.
What are the advantage and disadvantage of system development life cycle?
Advantages
The project mangers and programmers will able to communicate to each other
Components will be easier to define
Uncompleted products can be passes on to another person when necessary

What does h ref code do used in HTML?
the HREF attribute of an A tag is the location you want a link to point to.
What are the best CAD applications in Linux?
A simple google search for "linux cad software" yielded, as the first result, the first link I've added to this answer. It is impossible to tell what you want, since you haven't mentioned what type of CAD you want or your budget.
The second link lists half a dozen free Linux CAD programs.
Can a directory be called a file?
Yes. A directory can be called a file and, in most implementations, under the wraps, it is a file, but it is not a file that an ordinary user can access. It is the responsibility of the file system code in the operating system. Unless you are writing code that manages file systems, it is best to think of a directory as a directory and to use the API provided to access it.
What are the problems that system engineers face while designing a secure information system?
System engineers are constantly facing organizational structure and "security" issues when designing an information system.
Why sillicon diode is used in most of application?
silicon is the most commonly used semiconductor. As it is abundant and inexpensive. However, it also has the advantage of a great oxide layer (silicon dioxide) which serves as as dielectric in many applications, and as a result it is relatively easy to make devices out of Si. It's this oxide layer that makes silicon more common than germanium, which does not readily form an oxide layer because Ge has less affinity with oxygen when compared to Si, even though the there are many charge carriers in Ge as compared to Si its the ability to form the oxide layer which makes Si more preferable than Ge
What does YN mean on resume template?
It stands your "Your Name". It's just a placeholder for your initials.

Jeff, I think what they're referring to here is Microsoft Word format (*.doc). That's part of the Microsoft Office software. If you don't have that on your computer or have access to it, you can download Open Office for free off the Web (Google it). Create your resume in Open Office's Writer program, which is very close to MS Word. Then, instead of saving it in Open Office format, choose the option to save it in Word 97/2000/XP format. That should do it.
Implement full subtractor with two half subtractors and OR gate?
You use the first HS with entries of x0 and y0 . then you get D0=X0 XOR Y0
and B0=X0 NOT*Y0.(*=AND)
Then you use the sacond HS with entries of D0(from the first HS) and B-1(borrow from the previous level). then you get D1=X0 XOR Y0 XOR B-1(exactly like D in FS)
and B1=D0 NOT*B-1.
Then you use the OR gate with entries B0(from the first HS) and B1(from the second HS) and you get B=B0 OR B-1 AND D0 NOT. If you check the options you can get their similar to the borrow of FS
Concatenate in MS Excel and most of other tool is function to join text.

The Capability Maturity Model (CMM) in software engineering is a model of the maturity of the capability of certain business processes. A maturity model can be described as a structured collection of elements that describe certain aspects of maturity in an organization, and aids in the definition and understanding of an organization's processes.
What subjects i need for computer software engineer?
There are various subjects that are used to study for software engineering. Objective C, Java, Operating System, Multimedia Applications are some.
Significant of FAST methodology and sdlc?
In information systems engineering, FAST stands for Framework for the Application of Systems Techniques, and SDLC for Systems Development Life Cycle. The first refers to an eight step methodology used for the construction of information systems in organizations, and the second to "the process of creating or altering systems, and the models and methodologies that people use to develop these systems" (cf. Wikipedia).

The KB of a ship is the location of the point of buoyancy measured from the ships keel. For a square barge, the KB will be T/2 (draught / 2).
ITT Tech isn't typically respected in the serious software shops. You might be able to get a job as a support engineer at a small company that just needs someone around. For a serious job at one of the big players you'll need a degree from an accredited college. We turned away quite a few people from the "matchbook school of programming", especially since we typically didn't even take a second look at anyone less than either a Masters or significant experience in the field from other companies. There are quite a few graduates from ITT Tech who are still flipping burgers. Quite a few companies need their own in-house network administrator. That might be a good place to go if you insist on attending ITT Tech.
What is the difference between 'requirements' and 'specifications'?
People debate this all the time and it ends up being complete a waste of time. The problem is that there are too many engineers out there that want to do it their "way" to satisfy their own ego... So here's the simple answer: A specification is a document that describes the design utilizing a set of requirements. Bottom line, you are specifying your design by stating the requirements. Tons of requirements documents are being written today that list the requirements in an outlined integrated approach along with their "intent" or design. Hello, this is a specification.
