The brown stuff is blood mixing with discharge - blood from your uterus lining sheeding, normally a result of menstruation but sometimes due to other hormonal changes, if it takes time to leave your body it will turn this brown colour rather than looking like red or pink when mixed with discharge.

Spotting before your period should be discussed with your physician or OBGYN. One common reason for spotting in endometriosis. Normally, the uterus is lined with a rich tissue called endometrial tissue. This tissue grows during your cycle to potentially accomodate a foetus, and if you do not fall pregnant, that thickened lining sloughs off, which results in your period. Occasionally though, endometrial tissue can make its way to other parts of the body- typically to the ovaries or fallopian tubes, but cases have been documented where it has found its way to the lungs and other places (v. v. rare!!)! This tissue grows as it would have in the uterus, and can cause bleeding at unusual times, typically before your period is due. Women with endometriosis commonly complain of cramping and spotting, and often the spotting can be a dark red or chocolatey colour. It is important to remember that endometriosis is a common disorder that causes the symptom you mentioned, but does not constitute a diagnosis- you should still see your physician or OBGYN for a diagnosis and treatment (if it is required). I was 6 weeks pregnant when i miscarried. I started spotting earlier on though, like at 5 weeks, It started with very little and very light brown discharge that turned darker n darker, then in turned into pink in 3 days and then into bright red two days after the bright red, my doc told me my HCG levels are decreasing and a loss is expected, and 2 hours after that, i started getting period like cramps and the spotting turned into an actual flow. It was like a period, not heavy at all, no bad cramps it lasted a week and it was gone. it has been two weeks now that i stopped bleeding and my HCG levels were down to 12 three days ago. Since yesterday I've started spotting again, wonder what that is, but yeah, that was my experience. Hope I helped. Good Luck!

I was concerned about this also. I had the brown slimey discharge when I was 8-9 weeks. It seemed to be more whenever I worked out or did things around the house. My doctor told me that the brown discharge is just old blood. The cervix is is full of blood vessels and very sensitive during pregnancy. The discharge could be from recent intercourse or sexual activity. Although it is gross, it is perfectly normal. If the discharge turns to bright red blood with/without cramping, call your doctor/midwife right away! I am now 16 weeks and the baby is perfectly healthy. Hope this helped!

Usually the closer you get to the second tri you will start to feel better because your hormones are starting to level off. Enjoy it, I am 9 weeks and am losing weight because all I do is vomit, I can't wait until the second tri!

A watery discharge during pregnancy can be normal depending on the amount of discharge. If it is a constant watery discharge then I would check with your doctor because you may be leaking your amniotic fluid.

Most pregnant women experience an increase of discharge so unless you are constantly leaking a watery fluid it should be nothing to worry about. I would call an nurse hotline and tallk to them or check with your doctor just to be safe. Pregnancy is nothing to mess around with.

I am actually having the same thing right now and I am 6 weeks pregnant. Very light spotting (pink/brown) and I had mild cramping yesterday. When I was pregnant with my son I also had spotting at around 6 weeks. If it gets heavier and you have more cramping call your doctor. I am having an ultra sound in 2 days jut to make sure everything is alright. Best of luck.

ive had the same as you,, i usually have really heavy periods which last around four days... but after my period was about 2 weeks late,, i came on for about 2 days and wasnt on heavily. ive also been really tired,, really hungry then really full,or the other way around. im moody and have heartburn alot. plus, i have stabbing pains and my lower belly is starting to look verry bloated. and seeing as im 6ft and size 6/8 that's saying something. my boobs have grown a bit too... i reckon i might be,, so you might be too,, theres a good chance of it

Brown discharge with clots can mean numerous of things you might want to see your GYN... I too have the same symptoms but I'm not sure what it could be.

I'm scared to go to the doctors because of the end results.

If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor.

No I have 5 kids and NEVER went into labor naturally, I tried castor oil several times and it did not work. If you are 2 cm already walking will work!! It might not work right away but do it everyday twice a day and it should get u going maybe slowly maybe faster but it will work!
