okay, it is normal for your body temp to be elevated at night. It isn't a fever unless it's over 100.5 and if it is you need to see a doctor for a work up for urine infection or PID. the spotting before your period is just the way your cycle starts. good luck

I'm going through the same thing currently. I think it's due to stress. I'm usually pretty regular and am heavy the first couple of days. This period is wierd though. My period is light spotting and brown with light cramping right now. I've been wearing a panty liner the last 4 days which is wierd -- I usually need a super absorbent tampon or pad. I believe the blood you are seeing on the pad is darker because it has been exposed to the air longer. When you are wiping with the toweling, you are getting 'fresher' blood that's just been expelled from your body. Both are normal. It's relatively common. It's a form of pms.... if you're tracking your cycle, the day your period starts is the first day of FLOW.
