Can you become a hygienist with a felony record?

It depends upon which state you live in, and what that state's statute about licensing or registration of hygenists says.

If a section of the licensing statute is titled "prohibited acts," and within that section the words "may not have been convicted of a felony" appear, a person may not become a hygienist with a felony record, UNLESS there are also words to the effect that the felony record could be sealed or expunged. Some states' statutes use the words "being found guilty of. . ." various crimes without specifying whether the crimes are misdemeanors or felonies.

How long can Michigan hold a detainee for extradition to Texas?

Can a convicted felon own a black powder rifle in Vermont?

I'm quite sure it happens often. Your question doesn't qualify whether it's LEGAL, only whether they CAN. Of course they can, provided they have full use of both hands and at least one eye... besides having possession of a black powder gun and everything it takes to discharge one with a projectile.

Legally... since most black powder guns are not considered "firearms", it's also probably legal to do so. However... the question begs to be asked: why? It's begging for trouble, pushing the foil. They've been denied access to conventional modern firearms - why not get used to it & "walk away from the fence"?

Added; 18 USC (921 & 922) address convicted felon's possession of blackpowder arms and identify the only "lawful" type for them as "antiques" manufactured in (or before) 1899, or EXACT replicas of those firearms. Modern blackpowder arms ar prohibited to felons.

How does work during the holidays affect unemployment compensation?

If you complied with the unemployment laws of your state, then reporting the income will offset your benefits by some formula your state uses, up to the amount of your benefit. What you do not collect is still available to you as long as the benefit year has not expired. If you do NOT report the income, however, can result in pay back of benefits received, penalties, fines and or possible fraud charges that result in misdemeanor or felony penalties.

Handguns and other weapons can not be carried at schools or on school buses, at polling places, in courts and court offices, at racetracks and at secured airport areas. The law also specifically prohibits handguns from businesses where alcohol is sold if more than half of their revenue is from the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption, and from locations where high school, college or professional sporting events are taking place. You may not carry handguns in hospitals or nursing homes, amusement parks, places of worship or at government meetings if signs are posted prohibiting them. Can a convicted felon own a bow in Alaska?

NOT a good idea! US Code, Title 18 stipulates that it is a federal offense for a convicted felon to ever own or "POSSESS" firearms of any type. To live in a residence where there are firearms puts the felon in what is known in the law as "constructive possession" of the firearms (i.e.- the felon would have ready access to them - which is exactly what the law is written to prevent). That is a violation of the law, and the person who owns the guns and who knowingly resides with a convicted felon could also be charged as an accessory to the offense.

Can you laminate your military drivers license?

I was always able to; in fact, it was encouraged practice. But with the way the military's constantly changing, things which were allowed or tolerated 15 years ago may not be the same now - tentatively, I'd say yes, but I'd also send that question up your chain of command to see if they might know of some policy which prohibits it.

In California what age do you have to be to drive without adult supervision?

You can get a "junior permit" as young as 14 if you can show that you do not have adequate transportation to school, work, and/or other important functions. Restrictions are to be placed on the permit by the Department of Motor Vehicles based on the intended use of the permit. If you only get the permit because you don't have a ride to school, for example, you are only allowed to drive to school when you have the permit. When you are 16.5 years old you can get an actual license. There are some restrictions on this. When you turn 16, you can apply for a learner's permit. With the learner's permit you can only drive with a California-licensed passenger who is at least 25 years old. After 6 months of this and completion of driver training courses and a number of hours of behind-the-wheel training, you are eligible for the real license. For the first year (or until you turn 18, whichever comes first) you have a few restrictions. Unless you have a licensed 25 year-old in the car you can't drive between 11 pm and 5am and can't have passengers under 20 years of age. You can get around these restrictions if you can show that it is necessary to have passengers under 20 or that it is necessary to drive during the restricted time period. To drive alone, it's the 16.5 thing. Learner's permit at 16, license 6 months later. There are still the restrictions mentioned above, but in most cases and at most times you can drive alone.
