I need the diagram for reassembly of the steering column of a 1990 Ford F150 Pick up truck.

Replaced my ignition actuator arm on my 302 engine in 90 F-150, and found this website which was very helpful. Stolenandrecovered.com

Step by step photographs which walked me thru the process without tearing

up anything. I have had some difficulty getting my turn signals to work again

and that may be some minor adjustment I have yet to figure out.

The reason will more than likely be because when you changed the pads you had to compress the caliper piston in order to put new pads on. you did'NT compress it far enough. did you have a hard time putting thr caliper and pads back over the rotor. If so this is your problem. When you say that the tire doesn't spin, do you mean it feels like someone has their foot on the brake or that it doesn't spin as freely as it did befor you changed the brakes. write back and let me know.

I have a 1993 Nissan Altima, in which I had to loosen the Alternater Adjustment screws to get the old belt off. After replacing the belt, simply retighten the bolts until the belt is snug. Hope this helps.

FIX THE WHEEL. A bent wheel can be straightened with the right equipment & right training. First the wheel has to be dismounted!! Anyone (mobile wheel repair units) that tell you otherwise are full of Da Bien(mandarin for s**t). Factory wheel radial runouts are 10/1000 of an inch with aftermarket wheel tolerances 15/1000 of an inch. Repairs can be very simple, bring it to a professional, yes it's that simple. hopefully your not stealing the vehicle. but you will have to remove the steering wheel and then remove the key switch itself, purchase a new key switch and replace. However if its only to move the vehicle, after you remove the key switch you can take a screw driver and turn the mechanism in the column to unlock.

Usually when the steering wheel shakes badly while driving it could mean a few things. If it shakes only when you are applying the brakes, this means you have warped rotors and they will need to be turned or replaced. If it shakes just while driving, it could be that you have 1 or more tires that are unbalanced. Check this first before proceeding. It can also indicate that a wheel alignment and perhaps steering linkage repairs are necessary.

I would recommend against it since the sway bars are an intergal part of your vehicle. The only time i would consider it, is if your taking it to be serviced, and ONLY at speeds at or below 15 mph with your four way flashers on.

Some play in the steering, the inside or outside edge of the tire may be worn down more. Jack the wheel off the ground, grab the top and bottom edge and see if it has play in it. This means the ball joints are worn. Grabbing the sides and wiggling means the tie rods or steering linkage is worn. Front wheel drive only have a lower ball joint, the top is attached to the strut. Rear wheel drive have upper and lower ball joints and one or both may need replacing.

Hi ej here !. remove cover plate on the bottom of the dash then unplug the connectors go under the hood and remove the bolts that connect steering gear and the shifting rod then go back inside unit and take loose the bolts holding the tilt wheel make sure someone holds the wheel so it will not fall on you.

A little more information. Year/model. Some sway bar links become loose because of wear and the links continue to work but make a noise when the front end hits a bump. Other sway bar links will break altogether and the vehicle will lean excessivly when going around a corner.

The ball joints on your car, are the flexible joints that connect the suspension control arm to the steering knuckle (the part of your axle that actually holds the wheel and allows it to turn left-right, but not up-down.

Ok, jack up the front end of the truck and sit in on jack stands placed on the from crossmember (not the LCA), take off the tires, it makes it so much easier, next use a ball joint clam, or a 5 ton two jaw gear puller and use it to take tension off the torsion key bolt, take out the bolt and remove the thing the bolt bolted into with a pair of pliers, your probably going to have to pound on the end of the t-bar to slid it out.

A choke is an inductor. For typical power frequency, an inductor will slightly change the power factor, but will not actively use much energy. An abnormal voltage spike on a power supply is equivalent to voltage at a much higher frequency. Inductors appear to be a much greater impedance to high frequencies. This allows the choke to pass "normal" power, while at the same time it blocks "abnormal" power.

A resistor acts independent of frequency. It will limit the effects of the high frequency voltage spikes by dissipating their energy, but it will do the same for the normal power system frequency. In effect, it is always using power, when the choke only uses what you don't want to get to the power supply.

It's front wheel drive. It has no wheel bearings. It has a CV axle. What is it doing? AR 04-01-2008 It was my understanding that there were wheel bearings on front wheel drives; Or at least on every other FWD I have owned. (Including my 2003 Lancer GL 4 door) Actually front wheel bearings on a 03 lancer es are pressed in if you are doing them yourself you will need a press and lots of patients you need to remove your wheel brake assembly the remove the steering assembly from the suspension there is a snap ring in the reer holding the bearing in remove this and press the bearing out froom the front to the back then press the new bearing in I needed to machine a tool to press the bearing in as to not ruin the new one best of luck not an easy task

To change the torsion bar on an Iveco Daily you need to pick up the frame and take off the suspension. At the end you will see the torsion bar which can be rotated and removed. Then. a new bar can go in its place.

To absorb the shock of the rebound after a trucks tires hit an obstacle. ie pothole. Secondly it prevents fanning of the leafs.

The problem is either worn suspension parts (e.g., tie rods, idler arm, ball joints) or worn shocks/struts.

Defective CV joint or bad wheel bearing.

Your wheel bearing may have been damaged; your control arm may have been bent; your ball joint may have been dislocated; a tie-rod could have been bent. Visually inspect all parts for straightness, and give a good yank on the top of the tire and feel for any movement. If you feel a slight movement in the wheel, then your wheel bearing is bad. You could have bent your rim as well.

Tire wear is certainly one of the ways to tell, but there are other indicators as well. If the vehicle pulls to one side you no doubt have an alignment problem.

To adjust wheel alignment, you must;

have the vehicle on a level surface,

check alignment with gauges or other suitable equipment,

raise vehicle,

remove ball joint using splitter,

turn track rod end depending on toe in or out,

lower vehicle and check again.

this is a lengthy process, and may need to be repeated several times.

A bad lower control arm can cause the car to shake, wander, or be hard to steer. If the arm breaks or comes loose, then you will lose control and not be able to steer the vehicle.

The brake shoes may be about worn out. The wheel bearings need grease

its the steering bars going to the front tire(s).. you got a few things there but its prob. cv joints (shop price $150-300) per side.. it is a safety hazard and will fail safety test for tags. could cause u to crash if it gets worse when driving or could break other parts if not fixed fast enough
