To answer your question, ACV has been used in repelling & killing ticks. I spray our yard with it to repel ticks, as they do not like the taste or smell. I also use about 1 teaspoon daily in my dogs water & even put some on a wet cloth and wipe him with it before he heads out in the yard. It has done wonders for keeping them at bay although you get that one or two but they are not attached so I would say Yes it works

As with any tick on any organism, you must remove the head in order for it to not affect you, but if you use a tick repellant, no because the tick is already there, if you kill it or take the head out, then yes.

Actually, this is not true. Without a body a tick cannot keep on 'sucking' the blood or inject poison into the host's body. When you see a tick try to remove it ASAP, before side affects kick in. The removal of the tick may leave its head but that's alright because, as I said before, the tick is un-functional. If you do happen to leave the head behind accidently then there will just be a small scab which forms and the head will eventually come out by itself.

you could hire a professional to take a look; buy one of them nit combs humans use in hair to see if they have nits and use it on your carpet; or check to see if you have any bites or itches on yourself; or put some flea poisen down and see if you find any dead fleas. it will be easier to see them if u have a light colour carpet.

Not most likely , but if they are on u too long then they will have no where else to go,so then they will start nibbling at your skin untill it finds it's way through.

Take it to the vet or or give it constant baths and find a flee collar for it in the pet store. Or you can try setting up a container with chinchilla dust in it in case they feel like taking a 'bath' in it. If that doesn't do anything, then take it to an exotic vet. It could have some kind of bug infestation or other disease.

If chickens see ticks, they will most likely eat them. Dust bathing pretty much takes care of a lot of the bugs on chickens. I personally, wouldn't worry about it. ;)
