Time Travel

Time travel is best described as being able to move between two points in time much the way a person moves between two points in space. Time travel is a concept most often seen in science fiction. Questions about time travel can be directed here.

How do you time travel into the end of the universe?

We cannot, as yet, build a spacecraft that could accelerate to the speed of 99.9999999999999+% of the speed of light. If we could, our shipboard clocks would run so slowly that in realtime, many billions of years would have passed. (Assuming that our concept of General Relativity works the way we think it ought to.)

We do not know what the "end of the universe" might look like, or even if the universe has anything that might be called an "end". It's entirely possible that our fundamental theories of time, space and gravity are comically flawed, and that later generations will look back at us and think "How COULD they have been so stupid?"

What does Stephen hawking think about time travel?

He believes it is possible to travel back in time due to the effects gravity has on time.

Time slows down due to a strong gravitational pull, and time speeds up in gravity-free space.

How can you time travel?

it isn't possible at the present. I'm only 16, but theoretically, astronauts who come back to earth are a couple of seconds or minutes younger than they should be. for them, the faster they go, the more time seems to "slow" until when you reach the speed of light, time would seem to "halt" for the person (s) or object (s) in motion. but, if they went the speed of light, and had a beam of light next to them, the light beam would still be moving at the speed of light, RELATIVE TO THEIR PERSPECTIVE. if you went faster than the speed of light, then time would seem to reverse itself. according to Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, Energy(E) equals Mass(M) times a constant(c) squared(^2). aka: E=Mc^2. your constant can be anything. Einstein merely used the speed of light and calculations could not reach that far as to see what the mass would equal. you would not have an infinite mass. that is IMPOSSIBLE. no matter what, you would always have a finite mass. therefore, it can be calculated, just after a LONG time. mass effects gravity. therefore, as your mass increased, your initial gravity would increase, which (as studies show) affects RELATIVE time. theories show that some black holes could be traverable wormholes. having a black hole with a rotation, the singularity could be skipped, and you could come out in another universe. BUT the Einstein-Rosen Bridge would not be crossed, because it always closes right before you reach the point of crossing. so you could see into another universe, but be crushed to the size smaller than a carbon atom moments later.

think of space being a flat surface, a grid if you will. and the z axis being up and down. time is interwoven into all 3 axis. and you have a body with large mass, therefore large gravity, in the center of the grid, the grid would warp around the object, thus changing the time dialation. the larger the gravity, the more it warps.

to the object or person in motion of going through time, they would seem to us as going into the future, but to them, they would be going into the past. this makes it all the more dangerous. for religious peoples and such, if we didnt have proper instructions on when this person would show up again and how they looked, people could think of him as the second coming of christ and cause mass hysteria.

Who studys time travel?

Time travel is a topic that is studied by theoretical physicists, astronomers, and philosophers. They explore potential concepts and theories within the realm of relativity, quantum mechanics, and the nature of time itself. However, time travel as portrayed in movies or literature is mostly a work of fiction.

Can you change the past?

Changing the PastWhile some believe the past can be changed and we just don't yet have the power or knowledge to do it, we cannot change the past with the power and knowledge we have now. That is why it is so important to make wise choices in the here-and-now. Every opportunity we have and every decision we make can be for our good or our harm. Even if it seems like it's a harmless decision, it could have serious repercussions in the future. That is why we should make every decision carefully. Another Answer The best thing we can do regarding the past is to learn from it and grow to be a better person. We can improve ourselves by learning from our mistakes and choices we made that didn't work out quite like we expected. It's good to reflect on the past so thy we may learn from it. It is not good to dwell on the past because when we do that it takes the present away from us.

What does a time capsule look like?

It can look like many different things. Often times, it is an air tight container that is made out of a non bio-degradable or non-corroding substance, or if it isn't going to buried for a very long time, it may be a metal pill-shaped, box-like, or even cylinder shaped container.

What movie involves time travel and stepping on a butterfly?

The Sound of Thunder (2005) based on Ray Bradbury's short story.

How do you time travel in stick rpg 2?

How do you access the time travel event with a Celebi with only 3 Johto Gym Badges?

In order to activate the time travel event that involves Giovanni and your Rival, your Celebi needs to be a Fateful Encounter Celebi that was given out at U.S. Gamestop stores across the country and you also need to have stopped Team Rocket's takeover of the Goldenrod City Radio Tower. The takeover will not happen until after you have 7 Gym Badges meaning you have to defeat Falkner the Violet City Gym Leader, Bugsy the Gym Leader of Azalea Town, Whitney the Goldenrod Gym Leader, Morty the Ecruteak Gym Leader, Jasmine the Olivine City Gym Leader, Chuck the Cianwood Gym Leader and Pryce, the Gym Leader of Mahogany Town.

Can you time travel?

There are many different THEORIES on this. the thing is, so many of them are bogus and cannot be done. there are laws in physics that cannot be broken. you CAN time travel. into the future. always into the future. you cannot go to the past. truthfully, what we see with our eyes is the past. for the fact that light still has to travel to our eyes and that still takes time.

Time and Space are interwoven. in Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity, he states in a simplified form, that Energy equals Mass times a constant squared( E=mc^2). As you move faster and approach the speed of light, your mass becomes greater until it reaches infinity, eventually, it would take an infinite amount of energy to move the infinite mass. BUT, light has a finite mass that can be measured. Earth is hit with approximately 8 pounds of sunlight a day. light is actually particles called, Photons. thus proving, that you CAN go the speed of light and not have an infinite mass. this is where you get into the fact that it is RELATIVITY. it is relative to your position in space-time. because of physics, you can go into the future, because as you move faster, time would slow for you, but would move at normal speed for everything around you. this is because as you go faster, the mass becomes greater, thus raising your gravity, thus space-time would warp around you.

a paradox merely states that if you have to objects in the same universe at the same TIME( it has to be of the same matter. the EXACT same. not just another atom of iron that looks the same for example, but THE same), then they would cancel each other, or just blow up the entire universe. although even if they are a fraction of a second away from each other, then the universe and the objects wouldn't cease to exist. so the answer is, Yes. it is theoretical possible

Why I know how to time travel!?

I know how to time travel, and I have time traveled. 48 hours into the future, and then I called my friend. They were in hospital. I saved them!

How does time travel work?

It only works in one direction- moving to the future at the rate of 1 day per day. It does not work in reverse, and you cannot speed it up.

If you were to time travel into the future and come back to the present would that create a different parallel semi-universe?

Time travel is not possible, the future does not exist to be traveled to.

So this would only happen in fiction, sorry. ok then if time travel were possible and you went into the past for 2 day and came back to the future 2 days from prestent day because in the preastent 2 days had past, would you be in another parrell universe? just to waste a little time to talk about nothing importent.
