How do you lose 40 pounds in one week?
Please do not even attempt to lose that much weight in such a short period of time. I will just go back on as soon as you stop dieting and you will be worse off. The only way to lose that much weight is to starve yourself, which is completely the wrong thing to do. Try to aim to lose between 1-2lbs per week. That way your body has a chance to adapt to your new diet and will not enter starvation mode. Hope this helps.

How do you know when you conceived?
Telling when you are fertile and therefore should not have intercourse to prevent a pregnanacy is very simple. First, you will notice more wetness from cervical fluid increasing. It will get more clear, leave circular stains in your underwear and be shiny on toilet paper. When you notice this, you will begin to refrain or use a barrier method such as a condom or diaphram. Next your cervix, check in a full squatting position, will go from feeling firm like the tip of your nose to the soft way your lips or earlobes feel. you will also feel the 'os', or iopening open (to allow sperm to enter). Other symptoms include, increased energy, increased libido (sex drive/desire), more fantasizing and even if you have intercourse without protection, less fluid excreting after. It should also be added this is for preventing a pregnancy only. You should still abstain or use a condom if you are not in a monogomous relationship to prevent the infection and spread of STDs and AIDS.
Start charting your fertility cycle via body temperature and cervical mucus. There are also ovulation prediction kits available at most pharmacies.

Can you see a baby on a ultra sound at four weeks?
No. At four weeks you most likely are just finding out you are pregnant because this is the week you would normally have your expected period, but surprise you won't! At four weeks the baby hasn't even developed a heart beat yet, this won't happen until week five. The only "baby" you will see during the ultrasound is most likely just the yolk sac.
When is the first week of pregnancy?
You will not know your first week of pregnancy. The first week of pregnancy, you are not technically even pregnant yet. This is the week of your last menstrual period.
2nd week-The second week of pregnancy is when the sperm from the male fertilizes your egg that is released during ovulation.
3 weeks- At three weeks pregnant, you most likely don't even know that you are pregnant. All that is present is about 500 microscopic cells. The cells haven't formed an embryo or fetus yet. This is when the zygote (the microscopic cells that aren't yet formed into an embryo/fetus) implants itself into your uterine lining.
4 Weeks-Well at four weeks pregnant, the embryo has just now implanted itself. The fetus has not yet developed any limbs or any obvious features yet. It is about 1/25" and weighs less than one gram. This is probably the week you will find out you are pregnant. This week the placenta is being created, as well as the umbilical cord and the baby is now working on developing actual features. The embryo is now made of three layers that will develop into functioning organs.
5 weeks- There have been some HUGE changes from week 3 to week 5! Congratulations, your fetus is starting to actually look like a fetus! It now is beginning to develop little stubby limbs and a little head. It is about 2 millimeters and still weighs less than one gram (about the size of a poppy seed). This is the week your baby will develop its heart beat which will in turn means your baby also has blood circulation and it's first functioning organ! The placenta and umbilical cord are still developing at this point. Also at this week the beginning of the brain, cardiovascular system, nervous system and reproductive system are in the making!

From your immune response to your energy output, it regulates your blood-sugar level, maintains the critical balance among your body's electrolytes, and enables you to build strong healthy bones, it determines how you mature and how slowly or quickly you age. Because of them, women are able to become pregnant and carry a baby. It helps you digest and assimilate your food, convert it into energy, and then use the energy to build muscles or burn fat. While an ultrasound examination is being done, there is a visual image that is captured as pictures showing the structures that are being examined by the sound wave technology. These video-taped images are recorded by the technologist performing the ultrasound so that a physician can review the images and interpret the test results for diagnostic purposes.
In pregnancy, ultrasound "pictures" are taken of the fetus and these are recorded for the same reasons above, however, these recordings are also provided to the pregnant woman as her very first "baby" pictures.

How accurate are the doctors when they tell you a due date judging by the fundal height?
You are not given a due date judging by the fundal height.
A comparison of your size with length of pregnancy may be made by measuring the fundal height with a tape measure. After 20 weeks the length of pregnancy corresponds with the measured fundal height in centimetres. This is fairly accurate if done by the same person each time. More importantly it shows if your baby is maintaining its growth. For example if you measure 20cm at 20 weeks, and then at 30 weeks you only measure 27cm your baby is not growing at the normal rate. It can also show if your baby is larger than average.
Both small and large babies may have trouble at birth.
