Techron is a very good product but my personnel favorite is Seafoam. You can buy it at almost any auto parts and marine store, plus Walmart. I have seen Seafoam work miracles on a clogged fuel system. It is also a great fuel stabilizer for you lawn equipment.

not to step on toes being I'm new to the forum but in reality if something was cracked or broken on a heating system you would be losing coolant somewhere visibly. common problem with the crown vic even up to newer models with the blower going out is the blower motor resistor. it's a little hard to diagnosis because the problem usually starts out intermittently. as for warm to cold on your heat... you should probably check your heater control valve also known as an air valve by some parts stores. During the summer months most folks forget to turn on their heaters once in a while and let the coolant circulate and clean out the debris (coolant sludge and rust). it gets pretty thick and will not allow the vent to reopen properly. it may start to open then when pressure builds up and the thermostat opens the sludge will close it up or clog the small gap that was allowing just enough coolant to warm your core up.
