What tattoos do US soldiers use to show they have killed an enemy soldier?

During the Vietnam War tattoos were generally prohibited for all US military officers and were HIGHLY frowned upon for any enlisted man.

Since, during those times, mostly prison inmates and sailors had tattoos on their bodies...any man having tattoos indicating "kill markings" would quite possibly have been drummed out of the service as an un-desirable person.

What is considered a veteran?

A veteran is any member of the armed forces who was deployed overseas to a combat zone area during the times that the United States specifies that area as a hostile threat to our country and our citizens. I served in Vietnam as a Marine and wished that G.W.Bush had the guts to have done something less cowardly than his family-influenced service avoidance. Men and women died in IRAQ needlessly to line the pockets of the giant war-profiteer corporate scumbags.

A dishonorably discharged service member is not even legally designated a veteran. According to the definition of terms in the U.S. Code Collection Title 38 Part 1 Chapter 1 Section 101, "the term 'veteran' means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air force and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable."

How do you find living veterans of the Battle of the Bulge?

Yes, my uncle, Bert Allen , was in the Battle of the Bulge. Uncle Bert is 93 years old, his health is pretty good but his memory is not the best. There is a website called Friends_of_US_2nd_Infantry_Division_WWII. There are quite a few gentlemen still living that fought during the Battle of the Bulge. You can ask them anything and they are still as sharp as a tack. Some still take annual visits back to the Normandy beaches. My father fought with the Second Indianhead Division, that's how I stumbled on the site. It's great. I typed in that address but they said it was wrong and i didn't come up with anything

Can a service man get help from the VA serving in Germany from 1963-Sept 1964?

It depends on the nature of the discharge as well as the length of service.

Perhaps, go to your nearest VA facility and ask the help desk personnel for the paperwork you need to fill out in order to obtain VA medical assistance, otherwise you can apply for a non-service connected pension, a disability rating due to miltary service, and some hospitals offer rehab, group therapy, individual therapy, and programs/shelter for homeless vets that are men. There is a book that you can pick up at the VA or read through the link below.
