There may be another way, but this is how I go about it.

1) Save your entire document as a .pdf file

2) Open the recently created .pdf (It will open in a new program)

3) Immediately re-save the .pdf file as a .jpeg file.

4) Use a photo editing software to crop out the white around the photo

And theres your .jpeg!

Since you haven't mentioned from what format the videos need to be converted to avi format, here is a technique of converting to avi format from mkv format.

Start by searching online at Google for a good converter application which converts to avi format. Some video converters may include conversions into various formats. So you should configure the software to convert from MKV format into AVI. Some converters also install MKV codecs. However, if the converter you installed doesn't come with codecs you will have to install them separately. The codecs need to to be installed prior to converting. Since AVI is one of the most widely used video formats period, it would be important to convert files to avi for playback on most of the media devices.

With trp converter software you can convert trp file into avi file. Not this but you can also convert trp into flv, mp4, asf, wmv, m4v, mov, mpg, etc. The software provides graphical user interface.

That's really an opinion question, but I think it's fairly easy to use at least if you've used other movie editing programs (Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, etc.). I adapted to it pretty quickly, using video tutorials online (on YouTube).
