Do dogs get pimples or warts?

yes there is a thing called puppy warts. They can get them on their faces around their mouth. This is common in Boxers and other short snouted breeds. It is called canine papilloma virus and is contagious, but like the chicken pocks in humans once they have it they cannot get it again. it looks just like a wart we would get with a cauliflower like head. Most websites will tell you they will go away in 4-6 weeks, but the problem is they can spread, and the issue is it can go into their mouth and into their throat. There is a natural remedy to get rid of the warts that you would buy in any natural food store. Lysine, is what it is called. depending on the size of your puppy you just have them take a pill a day and it helps remove the warts. please check with your vet if you have any questions....

Can you get a plantar wart on your finger?

Plantar warts are, by definition, warts on the bottom of your foot or toes. A wart appearing anywhere else on the body is not a plantar wart, even if it's caused by one of the strains of the human papillomavirus that's generally associated with plantar warts.

(If you're asking if it's possible for the virus to spread from a plantar wart to other locations on the body: yes, that's possible. But it wouldn't be CALLED a plantar wart; if it appeared on the palm, for instance, it would be a palmar wart.)

Plantar warts are caused by an infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) in the outer layer of skin on the sole of your feet. However, the virus does thrive in warm, moist environments - such as shower floors, locker rooms and public swimming areas. Consequently, you may contract the virus by walking barefoot around pools or gyms.

How long do warts take to go away?

Without treatment, genital warts may go away on their own, or they may get worse. If warts are causing symptoms, you may consider seeing your health care provider for treatment. Treatment doesn't necessarily make them less contagious. In addition, treatment of warts doesn't increase long-term health risks; warts do not turn into cancer. Without treatment, warts may take months to disappear.

Treatment options include creams to use at home, which may take months to see an effect; acid or freezing treatments, which typically take at least two or three treatments a couple of weeks apart; or surgical removal.

See related link for reliable information from the CDC regarding genital warts and treatment options.

How do you get a wart off your nose?

I'm going in for surgery tomorrow morning to get one removed from my right nostril. You should have it checked out by an Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor. I'm sure if it is diagnosed as a wart they'll set up the quick procedure as it can spread if left untreated.

I was told the process involved a local anesthetic injected into the nose, which will sting a bit. Then they burn it off at the base and send it to the pathologist just to make sure it's just a wart and benign, I suppose.

The whole thing shouldn't take long. Hope that helps.

When a plantar wart comes out will it bleed?

Yes, the wart virus taps into the capillaries. So if you cut them deep enough, you probably will see a small bit of blood. This is the capillary supplying blood to the wart virus.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND CUTTING THEM OFF YOURSELF! You could spread the wart virus, and re-infect yourself!

How do you get warts?

Warts are caused by a virus, specifically the human papillomavirus. This virus infects your skin, specifically your dermis. This it does by entering through cuts and 'microcuts', submicroscopic cuts that let in pathogens. So touching a wart or a surface that has been touched by warty material lets in infection and makes you get warts.

How do you know when your wart is healing?

This is an old answer, but I'd like to share because of my super successful experience. I had a plantar wart and went to the dermotologist at least 15 visits. He tried acid, freezing, blister forming from a beetle toxin, even scooping it out surgery. Everything you can think of. You wanna talk about painful try getting a section of your foot removed (what happened to "do no harm"). The wart just kept getting bigger and bigger. This went on for 6+ months. Finally I went to another dermatologist, and she immediately sized it up for about 30 seconds and recommended injecting candida yeast into it to stimulate body immune defenses against the HPV in the skin. It's technically not FDA approved for warts, but is FDA approved for other treatments and similar to getting an old school tuburculosis test. She gave me a double dose (effectively a tuburculosis test on my foot I guess) and yes, the tiny needle did pinch and hurt a little, but Nothing like getting skin scooped out and not being able to walk for a week. The dime sized huge wart that started at about 2mm turned black in about 3 days and completely fell off. I went in for another injection 2 weeks later and it was gone. I am told candida doesn't work for everyone, and I am not a doctor, and I can imagine how annoying patients can be with "self diagnosis", but I highly recommend going this route as a 1st treatment if you can. If your immune system is lucky enough to respond to yeast (about 70% of the population I have read), then it is a 100% cure for even plantar warts after just 1-3 treatments. I recently had a new wart, years later, on the same foot. Found another dermatologist that did candida treatments. He injected it after warning me how painful it was. (I laughed it off as a drop of water in the ocean IMHO) And it turned black hard lump 2 days later and I just pulled it off last night after 8 days. I go back in for a 2nd injection next week and I expect it to be dead. Not all doctors will treat with candida and I had to call 3 to ensure this was an option first before making an appointment. If this post helps anyone out there, then thankfully I've given back to the Internet community that has given me so much over the years.

Can you go swimming after getting a wart frozen?

I don't believe they will improve your ability to swim.

You should probably stay away from groups of people in hot tubs who might resent being infected. Otherwise, follow your doctor's advice and, if it hurts, don't do it.
