What is any substance that causes water pollution?
Any type of chemical that is alien to a water environment in which it is introduced and produces harm to animal life,is a type of pollution. For example, Oil.
What happens to the quantity of clean water as water pollution increase?
Clean water also decreases and pollution rises. But it can also be dangerous
How can fresh water be polluted?
By throwing trash and a lot of toxic things. When people throw trash to the river or the other big places, it will get polluted
What are the negative effects of industrialism?
Reduction in sustainability (ecological and social). Industrialisation increases the amount of finite resources consumed. It also disrupts natural social patterns that have existed in human society for thousands of years and can be directly linked to many of the social problems prevalent in society today. Social issues include migrant labour, child labour, degraded family structures, breakdown of traditional community structures, an increase in the wealth gap and vulnerability to exploitation. The system is also vulnerable to disruptions in the chain of supply. For example, when the 2011 tsunami hit Japan, car manufacturers around the world suffered major production loss as supplies of vital components made in Japan were stopped for weeks. An industrial society relies on long, fragile chains of supply and is not self-sufficient in nature. A further problem is the drive for absolute profits and growth over sustainability. An industrial model requires investment, and investors expect constant growth and profits. Whereas a pre-industrial family business is willing to take the good years with the bad, any downturn in an industrial economy is very disruptive and can cause widespread economic hardship as people are laid off work and factories are closed as they are seen as a liability by investors. Industrialisation also increases the destructive effects of war. Without an industrial base, long term, highly destructive wars (total war) would not be feasible - although war has always existed and has always been destructive to some degree.
How do people clean up after an eruption?
This depends largely on the type and scope of the eruption. lf it's just a slight dusting of ash, then standard clean-up methods will work. For more serious eruptions, which can involve mud slides, lava flows, and large amounts of ash and debris, a full-scale demolition team may be required, with careful management, perhaps by FEMA depending on the volcano's location.
Water pollution is caused when a Eco-problem or a climate change affects water. Such as we humans litter almost everywhere, so the sea is affected a lot. Another thing such as a big oil spill can pollute the water all over the world. Even something small like radiation leak could be a big effect on water.
Is jet fuel a cause of water pollution?
yes, the fumes that the aircrafts produces condenses in water and creates an acid affect. this than contaminates the water in is unable to drink or use unless cleaned using maybe a teaspoon of bleach or high speed liquid separator. i recommend not trying this for it may be dangerous.
What are the Project topics in Environmental Education?
A TOPIC WHICH ALWAYS WORKS!
I suggest you to take up a topic of global warming . It works on all kinds of teachers. As it is a recent topic people will take interest in reading your project . For this matter your project must be precise about it. You must have pictures of the poles melting , the earth getting heated up (you can even show the earth crying in your drawing.)
What causes water bottles pollution?
Water bottles that are not recycled or disposed of properly are a pollutant in the environment. Many people buy bottled water under the mistaken assumption that the water is better than what comes out of the tap, when what they are drinking is just filtered tap water of unknown origin.
Can water be affected by words?
Water can be affected by words, however, mostly by the tone or voice inflection of how the words are spoken.
All matter is the result of oscillation or frequency or vibration.
This means that all things, including written words and water are visible as matter due to vibrations that cause molecules to form and take shape as they attract and repel each other.
Humans are born consisting of 97% holo water or structured water, which is thin water and can pass easily at the cellular level for healthy delivery of nutrients and quick removal of toxins.
Therefore, humans... kids and grownups, can be affected by words and tones due to they are mostly water themselves.
So a good reason to speak kindly to others.
What are some signals of breathing emergencies?
Chest is not moving. no air is coming out of the nose. Heart stops beating.
What are some environmental issues of the ocean?
Endangered marine species include the mantees, seals, sealions, turtels, and whales. Drift net fishing is killing dolphins, albatrosses, and other sea birds, (petrels, ausks), hastening the dedine of fish stocks and contributing to international diputes
What could cause reproductive isolation?
Any factor that in nature prevents interbreeding between individuals of the same species or of closely related species, for example geographic separation is itself a reproductive isolation because is a factor that prevents interbreeding. -extinction of one species -production of infertile offspring -development of physical differences
1998 Chevy Cheyenne water leaking what could it be?
If it is on the right side of the truck, back of the engine, after using the A/C it might be the condense water from A/C. It tends to drip on the chassis first and then on the floor, quite a lot though, but harmless.
What is the cause of pollution?
1. Cars, trucks, buses, trains, boats, ships, motorcycles, jeeps, suvs, and vans
2. Fossil fuels
3. Factories
4. Power plants
5. Human activities
6. Lawnmowers
7. Computers
8. Electric lights
9. Air conditioning
10. Heaters
11. Grass cutters
12. Natural gas
13. Garbage
14. Cutting trees
15. Wildfires or fires caused by humans
What are the positive effects of migration?
Animals and people migrate in search of food, or to fulfill a life cycle.
Darwin.
Charles Darwin developed the theory that the fittest survive. Fittest did not mean 'best' on some sort of ethical basis. It meant fittest in the sense that a characteristic fitted best with the current environment. A country with no Immigration is less exposed to other ideas in the world and its survival rate is thus reduced. With some immigration the best combination of ideas of locals and immigrants survive. With too much immigration the local ideas may be overwhelmed and lost and the survival rate reduced.
Water can be toxic if the person poisons the water in the first place or you are not drinking distilled water and you get lead into your body and die.
All living things pollute. Even nature pollutes. Oil was used by early Indians fr example. They looked for natural springs of oil that seeped from the ground into pools. Oil would also seep into streams and lakes.
Animals often will urinate in water. Poisoned fruits will blow from bushes into drinking holes and poison the water.
There is one difference between these pollutants though and the ones caused by man. We have the ability to control much of ours.
How have humans helped or hurt the ocean?
Humans have helped and hurt the ocean in many ways, but I must say in my opinion, we have hurt the ocean beyond repair and must help the ocean become better. I would say we hurt the ocean.
How do you fix a kettle that makes the boiled water taste bad?
Perhaps you can try descaling your kettle. You can either purchase a descaler or put 1/3 white vinegar + 2/3 water in the kettle and boil that. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight after boiling. The next day, dump out the vinegar solution and boil with just water. Leave that overnight and rinse out the kettle and you can use the kettle for making hot beverages now.
What kind of pollution is in Waikato River?
There a several different types of pollution in the Waikato river, coming from different sources:
Agricultural pollution is leached into the ground water, and contained in the runoff. This includes fertilizers and effluents.
The Wairakei Geothermal Power Station is the major cause of greatly exceeded arsenic levels in the river.
Treated human wastes are pumped in downriver of several towns including Hamilton.
Waste from unlined landfills also leaks in, as has been reported to be happening at the waste dump of Horotiu.
What are the steps to obtain LC50?
The relationship between the degree of response of the organisms and the quantity of the chemical always assumes a classic concentration-response form. The graphs represent the results of tests in which groups of the organisms of the same species were exposed to various concentrations of a chemical for a specific length of time. The least variability in the curve is at the 50% level of response. The concentration at which 50% level of the individuals react after a specified length of exposure is used as a measure of the activity or toxicity of the chemical agent.
In determining the relative toxicity of a new chemical to aquatic organisms, an acute toxicity test is first conducted to estimate the median lethal concentration of the chemical in the water to which test organisms are exposed. LC50 is the concentration estimated to produce mortality in 50% of a test population over a specific time period.
