Currently, this feature works with programs that permit spaces in the command path. WordPad, for example, does not permit spaces in the command path, so you cannot specify WordPad as your default editor for viewing source code.

be aware the most software will have 2 file names,others more. you need to get ALL the file names so that you can insure a COMPLETE removal [ norton-symantic--avast-alwil,ect ]

ok,the above is a partial answer. some software [ Norton,McAffie,AOL,ect ] leave bits and pieces all over the place. in both temp file folders [ what ! no one told you there are TWO ??? ],prefetch and even the registry.

I'd also suggest you install Ccleaner & Registry Seeker [ google for these ] and run both those. both have program uninstall sections,check them to insure complete removal of offending programs.

There migh be the possibility that your cookies and the bookmarks are not closed completely this is the only possibility .

Check in Start -> Program Files -> Startup . Make sure that there is no internet file in there. If there is one, delete it or move it away from that folder.

If that does not solve the problem. Download Spybot Search and Destroy from safer-networking.org and run the search. Use this software to remove all the spyware that might have caused the problem.

If that still does not help then, go to Start -> Run... -> type in "msconfig" . Move to Startup tab and carefully scroll through the list. There should be one suspicious program that you don't know. Simply uncheck that box next to that program and next time you start your computer, it will not be loaded. Note: The final step should be carefully done or you might disable some features that you need.

MSconfig is the manual way of deleting cached internet files but it is risky so only disable one at a time and try it. Most likely you downloaded some form of adware, or spyware either by temporary internet files, active x, or just plain shareware, etc. their are some very good programs designed to prevent these startup windows from executing upon boot up like.

Microsoft anti spyware, which is a free beta on Microsoft's site.

Spybot search and destroy is a through software also

Hijack this, prevents the bad files from communicating with the host server

lavasofts ad aware, is a top notch program that also defends against spyware and unwanted ads

Also you could try cleaning out your temporary internet files via IE tools/ internet options/ temp internet files; clear files

Before cleaning your stysem make sure to set up a system restore point in case any important files are deleted like reg files or .dll files

Go on startup programs and unchecked the invalid entry by the name of pop up coming. if it is still coming. it may be a spy ware/adware.to remove this pop up, scan your system to anti spyware.

You find it on the internet which is kind of hard if you don't have a web browser but you are using this website and so you already have one ( Windows - Probably Internet Explorer, Linux - Probably Firefox or Konqueror, Mac OSX - Probably Safari )
