When squatting should your feet be close together?

When squatting, your feet should be shoulders-width apart. Your toes should point slightly outward, just like "natural" walking position, not pointed straight ahead. You should always use a spotter when squatting. Only go down until your quads are at a 90 degree angle from the floor, don't over extend your knees, or you'll pay later. I always found it easier to keep correct form by looking up at the ceiling, as opposed to straight ahead.

What is the daily protein intake when weight training?

Protein intake when weight training

Assuming that you are doing an intense, whole-body strength training session twice a week, it is a good idea to increase your intake of proteins above normal. You should also be eating a protein-rich meal every three or four waking hours. This means at least five meals of at least 15 grams of proteins each time for adult females and at least 20 grams of proteins each time for adult males. Your weight is also a factor, with many sources citing about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. It is best to get your protein from natural sources such as (unless you are vegetarian) grass-fed organic beef or sockeye (wild) salmon, but protein shakes with whey protein are fine.

In order not to get fat eating so frequently, decrease your daily carbohydrate intake. Avoid all processed (refined) carbohydrates (see the list further down this page) and keep your total carbohydrate intake below 80 grams. This will switch your body from burning sugar (all carbohydrates when digested become sugar) to burning fat, which will improve your appearance, how you feel, and make you healthier. For more information about how to build muscle or alternatively how to build muscle and burn fat, see the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Questions.

Do lifting heavy weights stop you from growing?

Yes, because when you squat alot your bones get compact and you will eventually stop growing

If you are still growing now, lifting heavy weights won't actually stop you from growing so much as cause joint, muscular, skeletal, and general problems with your physical development.

Young people still developing shouldn't attempt weights until it's certain they've stopped growing. The complications from weighlifting at too early an age can be absolutely miserable: better to be taller than you might like than in pain and with restricted movement.

If you feel you are too tall, try concentrating on being as healthy as possible so that you look really good, even if you'd like to be shorter. As you mature you'll quite likely discover all kinds of advantages to being tall.

How much should someone who weighs 80 pounds bench?

A females with the same weight would have less muscle so something around 60 lbs is good to aim for.

How in gods name can a fourteen year old who's body is not developed yet possibly be benching anything over forty kilograms?

hey. I'm fourteen, 128 pounds and I'm 5-ft. 5 inches. I can easily bench 60 kilograms. Its not too difficult. I have friends who can bench press over 75.

I'm fourteen and I'm 150-155 pounds and 5'11 and bench 135 twice. That isn't a lot at all, i consider myself weak. You obviously don't understand how the youth of today work, humans are evolving! haha idk. Maybe who knows.

How strong should a 13 year old be?

well im 13 and 5 foot 2 and i cant even lift up someone bye the feet that's 5 stone but im 7.1 and this 12 year old lad whos 5 foot can lift me up by the feet so its either me weak or him strong

^

Isn't really fully correct, there really isn't a weak or strong at this age, I'm this age with a six pack, and bench press over 250, and has big muscles for my age, but even then my older and weaker cousin can still take me down. I mean the average is basically; you should be able to bench press two times your weight, i only have the weight of about 110, so I would be above average. But if you can't even bench your own weight, then your weak.

Should 13 year old be lifting 25 pounds?

there are many different ways that you can lift something. i would need to know how you are lifting this weight. but, if you can lift it and it doesn't hurt then you should be fine. although it is said that you shouldn't be lifting weights until youre older, as it can affect your development.
