You can only adjust the size of some browser windows, usually only those that were already opened by JavaScript code. You can not adjust the size of the main browser or the entire screen.

Some of the default bios settings may not be correct for your hardware. Especially check vga and sata/raid ones. Does your xp setup disk include sp2?

Windows does not have such command.

Windows command line is extremely limited.

If you want more advanced functionality install cygwin-bash or Microsoft PowerShell

i found the solution from another web page, have just tried it and it worked:
"Tudou runs on start up and the active tray icon kept the uninstall program in the tudou folder from running - went into MSCONFIG and turn it off (disable it) - uninstalling was fine then "
You can use any uninstaller to uninstall it then. i used CCleaner but i gathered the Windows Uninstaller will also work.

We see LEDs every day. They're in lotsa stuff. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor diodethat radiates light (electoluminescence) when current passes through it in the forward direction. Electrons move though semiconductor medium and "fall into" other energy levels during their transit of the p-n junction. When these electrons make a transition to a lower energy level, they give off a photon of light. This photon may be in the infrared region, or just about anywhere across the visible spectrum up to and into ultraviolet - but we have to pick a color when we make them. That means we can get an infrared LED to work in our remote controls, and get other ones of different colors to make indicators or, in large arrays, displays - even color ones. LEDs uaually are made to emit one color of light, though bicolor ones and more can be fabricated. Intensity is being improved as well. That broadens the applications considerably (think vehicular tail lights). The device has a pair of leads, and a (usually) plastic body moulded around the leads and the semiconductor crystal itself. That way the light can get out through the plastic. There is frequently a "round dome" at the top of the LED which serves to focus the light headed out through it. Remember that it is the material of the semiconductor crystal that determines the light given off by the device. A normal LED isn't really voltage dependent. When obtaining the LEDs, a manufacturer or hobbiest specifies the color. Red, green and blue are most popular, and, though there are other colors, it might be tough(er) to find them. Note that the big LED color displays use a three-LED pixel, and by driving it (the 3-LED assembly) appropriately, a wide range of colors can be obtained. This in an introduction to the LED. An electronics student will review semiconductor fundamentals and then more closely examine the chemisty and physics of the particular p-n junction that is fabricated to exhibit electroluminesce. You can but they probably will not be new machines.

You can buy a new hard drive and seek out home edition xp and create a new system - as an alternative you can partition a drive with e.g. win 7 on and xp on another partition. Its actually purchasing xp that may be an issue.

Remember also that some machine, even reformatted an xp placed on it may not work as the system requirements for the motherboard will differ.

Remember, in Win 7 and above you can set up software in compatibility more so that XP based programme will run normally.

Traction control applies the ABS to the individual wheel when it spins too fast, slowing it down to the speed of the other wheels so that it can gain traction.

It all depends on where you want to put it.

nothing can be permanetly disabled on a computer. you can either disable it or enable it manually (yourself) or automatically (let another program do it for you). power save option can be "disabled" by going to power settings from control panel. START MENU/control panel/power options (or anything named POWER) or START MENU/settings/control panel/power options (or anything named POWER) yeah, and now you owe me 20 bucks canadian. Dan Schenker

The end of a drill where the bit goes is called a chuck. You use a key to tighten it to hold the bit. It is not a key like a house key but a gear that matches the teeth on the chuck.

This generally happens when you click twice on the name of the icon.

To turn off safe mode on a computer, first shut down the computer completely. Wait a few seconds, then turn the computer back on. Select "Start Normally" in the menu that pops up asking the operator to choose how to restart the computer.

For Unix/Linux, use the command 'cd /'

For Windows, you can also use the same command or 'cd \'

Possible causes:

If you have Adobe Acrobat installed, and pdf files open up in notepad, then the problem could be the file is a txt file renamed as .pdf. Or more likely it could be the pdf file type is registered to notepad.

Solutions(Assumes you have Windows XP):

You can fix or check this by opening my documents, select folder options - File Type Tab, scroll to PDF, and click edit and manually change to open with acrobat.exe instead of notepad.

Re-installing or repair installing adobe acrobat should work also, but may cause other issues.

It is just like in any other document.

Find the starting point (e.g. beginning of the email), and press left mouse button. While pressing the left mouse button, move the mouse to where you want to end copying (e.g. end of the email). The texts in between now should be highlighted. Take your finger off the mouse but do not click on anything yet. Just move the mouse to a part of highlighted area and click right mouse button. Left-click on cut or copy. You can now paste it where you want. If you don't see an option for copy or cut when you right-click on your mouse, left-click on edit (on top of you Internet Explorer or Firefox menu bar) and you will see these options. If you have a file cabinet that has been locked and you cannot find the key, there is a code on the lock. You may need a magnifying glass to see it. Take the code to a locksmith and they should be able to provide a duplicate key for it.
