Gettin the stock radio out of an 80's Caprice is probably the most difficult thing to do. Harder than any other car. I have an 89 Caprice and it took me two hours to get the radio out undamaged. What I did was take the glove box out and reach behind the radio to disconnect rhe radio and push it out. It would also help to take the passenger side kick panel off. You will most likely have to disconnect a few other things behind the radio too (I disconnected the temp. control function on the heater core above the radio).

When you do get it off you also have to find a way to secure the CD Player on, I still haven't been able to do so. I just used tape to hold it in place. You should probably consider having a professional do it. Best Buy gave me a quote of $200-$300 for labor (that's when I decided to do it myself).

It took me only about half an hour to replace mine, and to hold the radio in place your local sounds shop should have a plastic insert that should replace where your old radio was at.

With a 87 caprice you will have to cut the palte that covered the original radio and buy a wiring harness for electrical connetcion fro factory radio to aftermarket. The hard thing is to cut the cover plate to fit you new radio or you can just mount your new radio under the old one near the front ashtray.

You can make a FoxPro exe if you will build it, located on the left side of the Project Manager

On Build Action choose Rebuild Project, and on Option choose Recompile All Files. Then click Ok.
