- Isolated desktop software solutions are no longer sufficient. The software industry must respond to consumer demand for portable, interoperable, distributed software solutions or else becomes extinct like their mainframe-only predecessors.

- Open Systems for Computing: the pressure on software vendors to establish interoperable, distributed, easy-for-end-user-programmers-to-use tools and standards upon which enterprise-wide architectures can be built.

-Business process reengineering increased consumer expectation, and networked distributed hardware, as well as numerous second-order complications are driving software complexity through the roof.

The software industry will, out of necessity, respond to the above pressures by forming forums, consortia, and back-room alliances in order to establish market-leading architectural infrastructure standards, interfaces, and middleware for the express purpose of shifting the balance of power in favour.

1. Click Start, and go to Programs.

4. Finish the description of the restore point, and then select Create. After a few seconds, the program tells you the date, time, and description of the new restore point.
5. Click Close.

For Windows 7:

1. From Control Panel, click System.
2. From the left pane, find out System protection and then click it.
3. Click System Protection, and then select Create.
4. From System Protection, finish the description, and then click Create

1. Insert Windows XP installation CD to your PC and then boot it.
2. From Welcome to Setup, press Rto enable Recovery Console utility.
3. Choose the Windows XP installation you need to fix and complete the administrator password if it asks.Then the Recovery Console utility appears on the screen.
4. Type cd system32 when command prompt pops up and press Enter to change to the system32 directory.
5. Type ren rundll32.exe msderun.old.dll and press Enter to rename the rundll32.exe file.
6. And then type CD-ROM_or_DVD-ROM_Drive_Letter: and press Enter to point to the CD-Rom drive. Here, CD-ROM_or_ DVD-ROM_Drive_Letter letter points to the drive letter of your CD_ROM or DVD_ROM drive.
7. Type cd \i386, and then press Enter to change to the i386 directory on the CD.
8. Type expand msderun.dl_ BootDriveLetter:\windows\system32 and then press Enter to change to extract the original rundll32.exe file from the Windows XP CD and copy it to the system32 directory on your Windows XP computer.

• Step One: Click Start.
• Step Two: And then go to Control Panel.
• Step Three: Enable the Windows Updateutility.
• Step Four: Follow the instruction to install AxtiveX and click "Install" to install Windows Update utility.
• Step Five: Install all of the updates.
• Step Five: Restart PC.
