What is the gray wolfs shelter?
The grey wolf's shelter is usually a den dug in the ground on a hillside or it can be underground with a tunnel about three meters long leading to where the cubs are.
If a wolves tail is straight up, or curled over it's back, it is the leader and you shouldn't mess with it.
If the wolves ears go back, it snarls, and at the same time, it's tail is partially under it's legs, it means it is frightened, but not enough that it wont attack.
If a wolf is smiling, then well... it's a happy wolf
If a wolf's tail is slightly raised, it means it is friendly, but it is not alpha.
If a wolf walks stiff legged, shoulder hunched, tail striagt down it means either it means buisness or it's in a fowl mood.
Does a Mackenzie valley wolf make a good pet?
Well, like any wild animal, they typically dont make good pets. Just like tigers in the circus, they are unprediacable and can snap at any moment. Even if you raise them from cubs, they have the instinct to kill in them. Some people do have wolves as pets, but they are experts, and have the proper knowledge of how to raise them, feed them, and take care of them. You dont just get one and expect to treat it like a dog. They have special needs. So if you are planning to get one, you need to read up on them and learn what you are getting yourself into. Plus, I'm pretty sure you need a permit. ;)

Who is stronger in a wolf pack alpha male or alpha female?
Both wolves play a prominent role in the pack. The one with the most authority is usually the older one or sometimes simply the more physically stronger or aggressive one. Usually only the alpha female has pups and the alpha male is the father. Although, a different male may be the father if the alpha is simply uninterested. Also, sometimes more than one female will have pups. This sometimes happens if the hierarchy is in question and other wolves will also mate. So the authority can change and is not decisively male or female unlike most species.
No. If by 'snowdogs' you mean dogs that pull sledges in the snow, then definitely not. That's a HUSKIE. If you mean a dog that lives in the snow, then you are still wrong because a) Wolves aren't dogs and b) Wolves live in many environments
It was late in evolutionary history (the Paleocene period- which was 65/55 million years ago) when the Dawn Wolf (Similar to that of a enlogated fox) appeared. It could climb trees, and was POSSIBLY releated to the feline species. They originated from North America, and later spread to Asia and South America. (It is also said that they orginated from Siberia and Alaska too) and became what they are today, which is the now common Grey Wolf.
Do male dogs and or wolves regurgitate food for the pups or is it only the females?
