The best way to kill the undead is to deastroy the brain, do it in almost anyeay possible, options are limited to the circumstances. Try to aviod hanf-to-hand combat at all costs. a rifle is your best bet, its acurate and it can pass clean through the skull.

It would make a difference what type of zombie one was dealing with. For example, a juju zombie might eat brains because it is told to, as it requires no sustenance of any sort, being created by "magic". I'll assume that the question refers to infection zombies, often created by science in movies.

Now infection zombies are probably not literally dead, but rather have a strongly modified metabolism. This is indicated by the fact that they are disiccated (giving them the 'zombie' face) and the fact that they eat at all. It also explains why zombies are easier to throw around and break apart than regular people. It's probably some form of aneorobic digestion, or even direct absorption of neurochemicals and cells, probably in an attempt to rebuild or maintain their nerve cells and brain (some zombie movies show the recently converted as maintaining most of their faculties, suggesting living brain tissue). It makes more sense than eating flesh or fats when you have no metabolism to speak of and easier access to flesh and lipids than running screaming teenagers.

Additionally, it prevents zombies from massively multiplying since they tend to consume all the brain tissue of most of their targets before their fluids can 'gel'.

I read this after sitting in class wondering why zombies would eat brains, what happens after consumption, etc. Don't worry, I'm a professional. Or as professional as it gets. I'm a sixteen year old high school student and have watched multiple zombie movies, studied the art of blood and effect making, and follow George A. Romero's footsteps. I'm also the admin for 'I have thought at least once about what to do in a zombie invasion' on facebook.

Zombies are originally from legends that voodoo artists in Africa would conjure the dead to rise again and do his/her bidding. The legend doesn't specify, but in order to keep these unliving bodies under his control, he had to feed it parts of human flesh. Flesh or brains, doesn't specify.

George A. Romero was one of the first directors and writers to make this undead-based slave a topic in horror; that this re-animated corpse would come in masses and take over the living population. In his third film, Day of the Dead, a mad scientist studies these zombies and comes up with theories as to why they want to eat.

The zombie 'virus' (also a topic of horror) kills the brain from front to back, but not the core where basic motor functions and primal instincts are governed. This is kept alive by the virus, thus the reason why zombies eat. Primal instincts being the system needs food to survive, not being specific in whether this food is brain, flesh, rat, mouse, etc.

With this in mind, I answer the question: Zombies aren't eating brains in particular, just basic any food that fills the belly. Yom yom Eat em up!

There are three plausible theories. One is that it was caused by an extremely dangerous virus known as ataxic neurodegenerative satiety deficiency syndrome. Or as revealed (kind of) in the film, the virus would be bull... And of course Liz turned the TV of so we will never hear the name of the virus. Another theory is radiation from a downed satellite coming back to earth. I guess the radiation from the sun and other space bourne radiation mixed with the satellite communication radiation I guess. And the last theory is that it is an unknown virus not yet discovered by science. But I think that it is ANDSDS ( ataxic neurodegenerative satiety deficiency syndrome)

They do. But they are hot-wired to like human blood cuz their DNA is made for "reproduction" and to them that means infecting peoples. So they will occasionally eat an animal but most often feed on humans.

Find the Weapons Crate/Chest, and purchase a random weapon. It may take several attempts and cost a lot of points, but sooner or later, you will get the Ray Gun... Or buy every gun in Kino Der Toten map and then go in the random box. Also on Five, you can get the Winter Howl, but they are very rear... Just keep going in the box until you get it. By the way, it looks like an evil black Ray Gun... In addition, you can upgrade the Winter Howl to turn it into the Winters Fury, which freezes zombies and explodes.

You don't. There is no final level or boss you just try and survive and beat your friends scores. Although it would be sweet if they had a final boss like really powerful Hitler or something.

First off, you can only get nazi zombies on x-box 360. And, if you have a x-box 360 then read this, the only way to unlock nazi zombies is to complete every campaign. (On solo, no multi-player,) it doesn't matter what diffuculty, you just have to beat every campaign without a partner.

No they do not. The practice of Voodooism is to bring back a dead body so that it might walk again. Since the spirit has left the body it cannot be brought back again, and a body will not function without its spirit. The making of a zombie is really just a living person who has been paralyzed with the poison of the puffer fish. Such victims are awake and conscious of their surroundings but unable to move. When the poison wears off what may have been considered a corpse is now a living person again. The whole walking dead brain-eating thing is just hype.

well, techniclly, I've seen a failed attempt at becoming a necromancer. My freind was always fasinated witht he dark arts, so when he tried to summon a zombie, using his dead dog, it failed. it turned back into a skeleton. not a zombie.

There is certainly the possibility of a "zombie" virus. There are various diseases that cause people to act like zombies, or even giving them the characteristics of zombies (dark, bloodshot eyes, pale skin, etc). For example, leprosy causes the skin to decay without pain. This is because the nerves are dead.

Well, yes, zombies are possible, but most likely not because of a corpse. It will either be by a disease (that would probably have a vaccine fairly quickly) or a mental disorder in the brain.

Zombies will never take over. Zombies are a stereotypical, version of dead humans, usually used in movies or plays. They are made to look floppy, and dead, but with also a flicker of life- enough to let them move around.
