Here is an answe...not too technichal but I just did this myself yesterday and think I covered all the important bits... Loosen the wheel nuts & Place choks under the front wheels Jack up the rear of the vehicle & remove wheel Remove the cap which houses the wheel nut and bearing & remove nut and bearing Release the handbrake Usually you would use a drum removal tool but you can rotate and tap or bash the drum pulling it off till the old pads fall out of the groove on the drum (may take a bit of persuasion) If you are replacing the brakes then put the new ones on remembering to screw the automatic adjuster back to the start otherwise the drum will not fot over the new shoes. (it will be full of brake dust and dirt so you may need to clean the thread) make sure all the springs are back in the correct place and brake shoes alligned in the centre of the drum and on the correct position on the piston & press the drum back on. Replace the bearing & nut back onto the axle and put the wheel back on. (remember to tighten the wheel nuts after the car is off the jack)

under the passenger seat is the airbag controls.

hi put key in ignition but not turned on.keep footbreak depressed and keep trip meter pushed in.turn ignition to on but dont start car.wait and the millage will show ----.turn off ignition,next time you turn ignition on the service light will be out.

One reason would be that both low beams are burned out. It happens. Other than that, I suppose it could be a relay problem (usually under the hood near a strut tower). This has been a re-call issue and is common on this model. I had received a recall notice to have my dimmer switch for the 2001 replaced but ingored it. Sure enough i was driving on a long trip and my dimmer lights stopped working and I only had bright lights. I contacted my dealer and it was replaced. Thanks

Starting under the wheel arch whichever side lamp you need to remove,unscrew nut from wheelarch strip and two bolts from edge of panelling.Raise wheelarch strip slightly and ease front panel off it's retaining pins.Unscrew fastener bolts from headlamp and front panel.Press and pull down the front panelling enough to remove the lamp assembly.Disconnect harness plugs for headlamp bulb,side and indicator bulbs and servo motor.Replace in reverse order.

It is directly below the front number plate in front of the radiator fan, if you look thro the bottom grill you will see where its mounted. its a but of a fiddle but with a long plane screw driver you should manage to pop it out, as usual its easyer to get out than put back in but i its only a 5 minute job and could be done by any one.

Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to see if there is a problem - if not have codes cleared

Often rebooting the computer by turning the ignition off then on several times will clear "glitches". Sometimes mine has had to cycle as meny as 20 times to clear a "false" signal.

If it was easy to remove or disable it would not be much good as an alarm would it?

Think about it.

An alarm that can be removed is like a lock that can be picked.

not an expensive job to do. part cost about £10 but apparently it is an awkard job as a part of the dash on passengers side needs removing to get in at it. how do you remove a heater motor from a peugeot 406 do you have to remove the full dashboard or just the glove compartment

YES, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE THE ENGINE MOUNTS AS THEY WILL NOT LINE UP. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO MOVE A FEW ENGINES BITS AROUND TO FIT THEM IN - THE BATTERY, WATER BOTTLE, POWER STEERING BOTTLE ETC. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO UPRATE YOUR BRAKES AS YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY PUTTING A BOMB UNDER YOUR BONNETT. THE CORSA C BRAKES ARE HARDLY GOOD ENOUGH TO STOP THE 1.2 ENGINE LET ALONE 2.5 ENGINE!! GOOD LUCK, TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS!!

To reset Corsa D 57 plate do the following,

put your foot on the brake pedal then press and hold the odometer button in.

Wait until Insp 0 comes on the display, then switch on the ignition wait a few seconds.

Now it should display Insp 19000 (depending on service interval). Release button and brake pedal, now switch off ignition. Next time you turn on ignition the Insp 0 should no longer show on the display. This did work for me.
