Christopher Columbus brought a few cocoa beans back to show Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain, but it was the Spanish friars who first introduced chocolate to Europe more broadly. It wasn't until the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs that chocolate could be imported to Europe, where it quickly became a court favorite. The first recorded shipment of chocolate to Europe for commercial purposes was in a shipment from Veracruz, Mexico to Sevilla in 1585.

For many years after its introduction to European cultures, chocolate was only a drink. In 1830, a British chocolate maker, Joseph Fry & Sons found a way to make a solid form that could be eaten. In 1847, the Fry chocolate factory began making the first chocolate bars. We could say that cocoa beans was first found by Christopher Colombus. Chocolate is yummy.

Certain foods are allowed through US customs, but many are not. Unpackaged foods, raw meats, fruits, vegetable, produce, un-packaged breads, ect. are not allowed in. Certain food dyes that are legal in other countries are not always legal in the US, too.

The chemical formula for cocoa butter is CH3(CH2)16COOH. The food that normally contains cocoa butter are chocolate candy cocoa powder and Hot Chocolate.

But not the chocolate it self that make you live longer...

To have a longer life you would need a happy life, researcher has shown that people with happy feeling tend to life longer than those who don't...


And chocolate can stimulate endorphin and also serotonin which make you happy and relaxed.
