Can a 17-year-old runaway get legally married in Las Vegas?

The answer is no because if you are 17 years old in some states you're still considered a minor. You need to check with your respective state for the statutes for which minors can marry under, but most states require the consent of the parents or guardian if you marry before the age of 18. If you plan to marry in another state you have to consult with that state and county's marriage license department and find out what the laws are because some states and counties require that you have to be a resident to marry so you have to take that into consideration as well. Word of advice teen marriages don't really last so it's better to wait until you're at least in your early twenties don't be in a hurry to grow up so fast and marry. I just wanted to add that Teen marriages WILL last if you make it and want it to.

How much tobacco can you bring back from Spain to UK?

UK customs stats that 1 person may bring the following tobacco based products back from Spain:

3200 cigarettes - 400 cigarillos - 200 cigars - 3 kg of smoking tobacco

obviously there must be some method by which a combination of these items may be disallowed but that i am unsure of.

Officially you do not have to pay any duty on tobacco bought, with tax paid, in another EU country. Though there are certain restriction with some, Estonia for instance and with some island territories. Check this carefully.

There is no limit if it is bought for personal use or as gifts and you have carried it yourself.

However, HM Customs are likely to ask you questions if you have more than 3 Kgs. Tobacco usually comes in a pouch of 50 gm and in 'sleeves' or packages of 10, therefore you should be able to carry 6 'sleeves' with no problems.

If you cannot convince them it is for personal use then they will confiscate it.

You can appeal, but this can be a lengthy process, by which time the tobacco will have been destroyed. You can ask for compensation but this involves litigation, which can be expensive.

Similar restrictions are place on cigarettes, cigars and alcohol.

The Customs officials will ask questions if you have a van full or a boot/trunk full or an attempt has been made to hide it.

Does Barack Obama smoke?

He used to smoke cigarettes and really struggled with quitting, trying and failing a number of times. But since early 2011, he finally managed to kick this habit once and for all.

Smoking is an addiction, and the president has struggled with it for years. He tried to quit many times, and according to his wife (who very much wanted him to quit), he has finally succeeded and has not had a cigarette in about eight months.

It is a common habit that is very addicting.

Barrack Obama quit smoking in the spring of 2007 before seeking the presidential nomination. However, he has admitted to "falling off the wagon" some times. His doctor released a statement that he is currently using nicotine gum and has quit several times in the past. On David Letterman he chose not to answer the question.
President Obama used to be a regular smoker, however today he says he only very rarely slips up; in fact, since 2011, he has said he does not smoke at all, and that he had promised his wife and kids that he would finally quit. He used a nicotine patch, and at times still does.

How does smoking affect the body?

When you inhale smoke, you get a smoke residue that coats your lungs and makes it harder to breathe; eventually this can cause emphysema and/or lung cancer. In general, smoking is very bad for your health. Don't do it.
The chemicals from the cigarettes get into your lungs and cause tar to build up. You get addicted to nicotine and your teeth turn yellow.

The long-term damage to lung tissue (including emphysema) and the risk of various forms of cancer, should be sufficient reasons for a decision not to smoke.

Where do I find the current value of a GWENDA cigarette case with what appears to be an enamelled picture on it?

Hello,

Recently I acquired a Gwenda cig/vanity case. It appears to be brass with bordered engine turning to the face and underneath.

Despite looking at over a hundred Gwenda cases. I can't spot the model in question. The main feature is a three dimensional, physical butterfly, with enamelled blue wings and a body shape in a yellow stone of some unknown substance.

I have taken several pix which I will forward to you if you think it may be worthwhile doing so.

Having seen only pictures or slight relief, I am left wondering if this truly gorgeous butterfly is not a Gwenda original, ie, married with super glue.

I would value immensely if, at this early stage, you could hed some light on this extraordinary object.

Yours most sincerely,

James.
