What do you do if someone is scared of you?

Modify your behaviour or appearance.

Something about you is causing them to be scared - whether rightly or wrongly so.

Why is it easiar to talk to someone online than it is in real life?

Talking to someone online is the same as wearing a mask. People tend to be more confident if they feel no one can see the real person they actually are. When talking to someone online the other person can't see what you are wearing or if you haven't shaved in weeks. You can actually be yourself and not feel self-conscious about your appearance. There's also always the option to erase what you just wrote too, but it's impossible to retract a verbal comment.

What does it mean if your crush talks about you does it mean that he does like you?

It kind of matters what he says about you. If it's "I wish that creepy stalker girl would just die," then it probably does not mean that he does like you.

I know that when you've got a crush you tend to grasp at at any straws you see that support the view that maybe your crush doesn't absolutely loathe you, but please try to be at least semi-realistic about it.

Can you meet kajal?

If a guy calls a girl babe or baby and they're only friends is that flirting?

Sometimes its flirting and sometimes its just casual talking. It all depends, really. For now, just take it as a sign of friendship unless your friendship becomes a relationship, then you should look into it.

What is the ceromy called the rite in Ghana?

What does de amo mean?

Why do Canadians dislike sarcasm?

Not all Canadians hate sarcasm. Unless it is about Canada. But, my friend loves sarcasm and she is from Canada. It is okay too an extent.

My add-on:

Canadians take most provocative, metaphorical and ironic statements literally. They can take a simple statement the wrong way. They overanalyze people's behavior and make issues out of any behavior they feel they have the right to approve or disapprove of. I find dinners with Canadians awkward as I cannot be myself and prefer Europeans, the British, Australians and Americans over them. One has to constantly monitor one's language. They are incapable of seeing past their own viewpoints. They make erroneous assumptions that all people must be like them.

And there is an obsession with class that doesn't interest me. My whole life I've heard about the (nonexistent) European class system. Europe is far ahead technologically, gave up on organized religion a long time ago, more accepting of women, more accepting of gays, wealthier and more liberal. They have the best social programs and quality of life. They also know better than to send militaries into Afghanistan and Iraq. Truth is, Europe is looking pretty good in comparison to Canada. And it is much more multicultural without all the protectionist legislation and political correctness about other cultures and immigration in Canada.

People here have a real fear of free speech, intellect, art, etc. I really feel awkward about my natural abilities in the arts, namely painting, poetry and literature. They dislike it because they see it as haughtiness and can't identify with it, even though there is a high rate of literacy here. Makes no sense. And a lot of drug addiction, teenage pregnancy, property damage, garbage, graffiti, sexual assault, theft, etc. here but is still seen as a bastion of positivity and perfection.

My point is that what you are seeing in Canada is the reality that is denied. They can't handle the truth. Try offering advice, constructive criticism, suggestions, opinions and they will be up in arms though believe me, they are the first to gossip, harass, insult, discriminate and make issues out of people. It is the 'Canadian way': to bother people because they are different and then act too good for the same treatment you brough on yourself (though I refuse to lower myself to that level). Many immigrants have told me how they dislike Canada and want to leave. And I don't blame them, really. They'd make more money elsewhere.

Another Add-on

I don't know what social and professional circles my predecessor here frequents, but it's rather hypocritical to paint all Canadians with such a broad stroke. The majority of Canadians I know are nothing like that poster described.

For one thing, our two best TV shows in my opinion would each be less than 5 minutes long if it weren't for sarcasm. I'd say their success indicates a love of sarcasm, wouldn't you?

Comparing multiculturalism here to that in Europe is reckless. We probably had enough "cultures" of our own by 1950 to create an autonomous multicultural community. How many riots have occurred in Canada because of multiculturalism. I don't mean demonstration outside embassies or consulates. I mean violent, destructive riots like those that have occurred in many European countries. How about bombings?

When my son was very young we lived in a big city and it was easy to pick him out in the schoolyard. He was THE kid with the light blond hair. We moved to a town far outside the city and I panicked that first day of school. I had rounded the corner of the building to encounter a sea of light blond heads! I'd never find him again!

Comparing one country to another or one people to another is always a foolish endeavor. Especially when you're talking about a country that spans over 3,000 miles. Toronto, ON is as foreign to someone from Witless Bay, NL as Quebec City is to someone from Regina. You wouldn't be able to say these people are exactly the same, so why say "Canadians don't like this " and "Canadians always do that." It's just not right to generalize. It's not fair either.

What would you do if you don't like your best friend?

Wait a week or so, and if you still don't like the person start to hang out with other people but tell your "best friend" first, and if they continue to try and be your friend you just tell them to stop it in a calm and friendly voice. They'll understand.

Or you can just think of them as a friend not a best friend.

Or you could tell your friend that you don't like them anymore as a friend and that you need to move on.

The best thing to do is ask yourself "why" you don't want to be their best friend anymore. Becoming some one's best friend isn't a agreed thing, it just happens. You should figure out why it just isn't happening for you anymore. Is it something you can talk to your friend about?

Such as, has your friend started a habit where they tuck their hand in their pants? Or has started cussing a lot? The thing about best friends is that the smallest change can start a fight because best friends are like siblings who aren't related.

If it's not, then you should handle it like you would breaking up with a boyfriend/girlfriend, calmly and supportive.

If someone is holding a grudge against you how will they act?

If someone is holding a grudge against you, it is not important how they will act. It's how you will act that is important. You follow the golden rule, avoid assumptions and gossip and be respectful of others. If you sense some danger from this person, report it to someone appropriate, a parent, a teacher, a manager depending on the situation. This is not to get the grudgee in trouble or for the person to take any action, just to let someone else know your situation. If you respect others, most others will respect you.

How is jealousy seen?

How is jealousy seen?

What to do if you like a guy but he likes you as a friend?

explain your feelings to him, but make sure you tell him the truth. If he is a friend and truly liked you it wont matter that you only want to be friends. This is a good way to see if he just wants one thing. Good luck

Answer

It is best to be up front with him on this. Still, in my experience, he will be hopeful that you will change your mind in the future.

What do you do if you are going out with someone but you like his best friend more and your best friend thinks your boyfriends a tool?

Beware! He could be trying to split you up and all went well apparently before he entered into the picture and made a snide remark about his own friend! With friends like that who needs enemies. Don't let others sway you about your boyfriend. There must have been something that made you go steady with him. If you really have lost your love for your boyfriend then be honest to him about the whole thing, but as far as his friend ... consider this ... he's a back stabber against his own friend and I wouldn't trust getting into a relationship with him.
