I was 12 y.old then and I am 78 now. Looking back it was exiting then,maybe not a nice description. Always something new happened. We were in the underground and helped to hide jews and other young men wanted by the enemy, we hid them successfully. The Dutch East India Company (VOC) and later the Dutch State controlled what is now Indonesia (Dutch East Indies) and the island chain it is part of in south east Asia.
