How do you change from military time time on a Bose Wave Music System clock radio?

Turn on the lights in your room and it will be obvious. On the Bose Wave Music System clock radio remote there is a + and - button labeled "time." This is how you set the time. Hold either the + button to move the time forward or the - button to set the time backwards. You don't need to push any buttons before you press the + or -. After you have set the time you can press the "alarm time" button to lock in your changed time.

The standard remote does not have a back-light feature. However, if you bought the optional larger remote and try to set the clock in the dark with the back-lit buttons, you won't be able to see the word "time" above the + and - buttons. This is because the word "time" is written on the metal part of the remote, which does not illuminate with the back-lighting feature.

To change from 12 hr to 24 hr (and vice-versa). Turn the system off so only the time is displayed. Hold down the Clock Set button and press the On/Off button. You should see the the time display from 12 to 24 (or 24 to 12).

Why doesn't Radio work after replacing battery?

Usually you must input the security code once all power has been lost to the radio. This is an antitheft/theft deterrent mechanism on the Mitsubishi receivers. If you cannot locate the code in your car's paperwork, then you must get the serial number off of the receiver itself (NOT THE CAR'S VIN NUMBER) and call your local dealership to get the code. Yep... makes it tough. I had to do this. Make sure you write the code in your owner's manual, so the next time it happens you won't have to go through all the work of pulling your receiver out to get its serial number. Hope this helps.

Can radio waves travel through a vacuum?

Here are a few vehicles and systems that are controlled and report by radio:

-- Apollo command modules on the way to the moon, and Apollo astronauts on the the moon

-- the International Space Station

-- the Hubble Space Telescope

-- the Mars rovers

-- the Pioneer, Viking, Cassini, and other robotic space probes

-- geostationary satellites that beam 597 channels of TV to the little dish on your garage

-- GPS satellites

-- weather satellites

Radio works quite well in a vacuum.

How did American Bandstand and Dick Clark influence popular culture?

In the 1950s, when rock and roll was becoming the dominant music on the radio and baby boomers like me were young teenagers, American Bandstand was the first nationally-syndicated show aimed at that baby boomer audience. It featured popular singers performing their hits (okay fine, they were lip-synching, but we were just excited to see them on TV), and also introduced us to a number of up-and-coming performers. Bandstand was a pop culture experience-- it featured stylishly dressed and attractive teens from the Philadelphia area (where the show was broadcast), doing the latest dances, which is how many of us learned the steps. We fans wanted to be like the folks we saw on Bandstand; they seemed so confident and poised; some were romantically involved too, and we vicariously lived through their relationships. I was among the many young teens who dreamed of one day dancing on the show or meeting Dick Clark himself. Coming home from school and watching American Bandstand was an important part of life in the late 1950s.

Do you need a radio licence to listen to in a work place?

No. Except in wartime, radio receiving equipment has never been regulated. Only transmitting equipment is regulated, for the purpose of keeping things orderly enough so that no transmitter will interfere with the signals of another one. Personally, I think some receiving equipment should be regulated, specifically police radar detectors. But that's just my opinion; I could be wrong.

Where is the serial number for the radio on a 2001 Honda CR-V located?

pull the radio out and get the serial number off the bottom, or the back, of the case.

Added: On SOME radios (but not all) it is possible to display the radio serial number on the digital dial by pressing buttons 1 & 6 simultaneously while turning the radio on.

Another suggestion - look through your owner's manual carefully - occasionally the dealer or a previouis owner will have written this information in in somewhere, usually the front cover, or on the page that describes how to operate the radio.

What is a radio genre?

If you mean what is currently played on the radio, and you by radio mean the biggest most popular radio stations, then the answer is pop or or mainstream music.

The definition of pop music isn't totally clear, though I prefer to categorize most songs that are very popular, i.e. is being played on big radio stations, as pop music. Then of course it could be a rap pop song or a rock pop song, but still a pop song. After all, pop is short for popular.

How does a Valve radio work?

Same as a regular radio, except signals are amplified and controlled by valves, or 'tubes' instead of solid state electronics (transistors). Tubes, as well as the output transformer that often acompany them (or simply 'Autoformers') provide a pleasent rolled off sound that many find more 'musical' than the harshness that can be solid-state. You can also try Autoformer/Solid state hybrid SS amplification to get tube sound and SS reliablility. McIntosh being the only producer thereof (see www.audioclassics.com).

It really all comes down to the sound YOU prefer, and if tubes light your fire, so be it.

How do you call 92.5 radio station?

If you tune your FM radio carefully ... making sure to switch it ON first ... you'll find that

station pretty close to the "92.3" mark on the radio dial.

If you're talking about the telephone number, we can't help you there. We don't know

yellow pages in the phone book, under "Radio Broadcasting Stations".

What is the difference between radio waves and gramma waves?

The wavelength of radio waves are on the magnitude of 10^4 meters, while gamma rays have a far shorter wavelength of around 10^-14. This implies that gamma rays carry a lot more energy than radio waves, due to their frequency being much higher than that of radio wave frequencies.

What is the phone numbr for 104.3 radio station?

There are exactly 100 carrier frequencies on the commercial FM radio dial, and all of the FM stations in the USA share them. So there are dozens of stations using the frequency. (A search of the FCC's ULS for stations on 104.3 in the US returned a list of 374 items.)

The city name would be necessary to get an accurate answer.
