The effects of broken homes?

The effects of broken homes on children are traumatic. Broken homes can cause children to question their self-worth, to experience unnecessary grief, guilt and/or confusion. Young children especially, have difficulty understanding the rationalities of their parents' decisions to divorce. All they know is that their parents used to live together and now they don't, used to "love" each other and now they don't. Children often take responsibility for parents' decisions to divorce. They conclude that they were the cause of the quarrels and ensuing divorce. They question whether or not their parents love them or are mad at them. It is so important for children to have a stable home life. In a broken home it is difficult for children to find a sense of security because experience shows them that what seemed stable and good fell to pieces and left them feeling empty, yet full of questions. Growing up in a broken home may also cause children to have difficulty in future relationships and cause them to struggle with the issue of trust. People who grew up in broken homes and get married are also more likely to end up divorced because their parents didn't provide a healthy model of marriage. They saw parents end disputes with divorce rather than working through them together. They may run from commitment or avoid relationships all together. They may also develop a emotion of fear toward marriage because they do not want to relive the grief they experienced as a child, nor do they want to have children and risk putting them through the same hurtful circumstances.

What are the whole numbers that are factors of 950?

950 can be factored into primes as 2*5*5*19. Any combination of these factors, when multiplied together, will be a factor of 950. The possible combinations are:

2*5 = 10

2*5*5 = 50

5*5 = 25

2*5*19 = 190

5*5*19 = 475

2*19 = 38

5*19 = 95

2*5*5*19 = 950 (yep, every number is a factor of itself!)

Lets not forget the prime factors themselves, alone: 2, 5, 19

And, of course, no numbers multiplied together is just 1 which is also a factor of 950.

This same technique can be used to find all the factors of any number.

What is a double major?

Do you have an interest in more than one academic field? If so, consider pursuing a double major. A double major allows a student to complete requirements for two different degree programs simultaneously. Pursuing two college degrees can be very rewarding but also challenging. However, if you are willing to work hard, study, and have a flexible schedule, you may very well be a good candidate for this type of program. Read on to learn if a double major is the right choice for you.

What are the benefits of a double major?

If you choose to have a double major in college, you will have the opportunity to earn two separate degrees. However, in order to receive two college degrees, you must complete the mandatory requirements for both academic programs. In addition, double major students usually gain more knowledge because of the extra coursework they must complete. Lastly, many students pursue a double major to increase their employment opportunities. A person with two college degrees can explore more career options than someone with only one degree.

What are the disadvantages of a double major?

Having a double major usually takes extra time, effort, and money. Therefore, pursuing two degrees at the same time could become very expensive and time-consuming. You will also have a heavier course load, and it might take you longer to graduate from college. In addition, having a double major may interfere with your personal obligations (e.g. work, family, church, social activities). So, it is a good idea to take everything into consideration before you declare a double major.

Can I take classes that will count towards both degrees?

If you pursue two degrees in the same academic program, some of your coursework may overlap between both majors. Therefore, you will not be required to take the same courses twice for each degree program. For instance, if you choose a double major in both finance and accounting, more than likely many of those business courses can be applied to both degree programs. However, if your double major is communications and nursing, those are two totally different academic programs, which will require different coursework. Keep in mind that basic core curriculum courses (such as English and college math), are usually required for all academic degrees. And, you must still complete the mandatory coursework for your specific major, along with other possible requirements, such as electives and an internship.

How do I get approved for a double major?

If you are interested in pursuing a double major, you should speak with your academic counselor or advisor to confirm that this is an option for you. Your counselor or advisor will need to verify that you have the ability and flexibility to handle a double major. If you are approved for a double major, you must complete the appropriate paperwork to declare your double major, and also sign the proper degree plan for each major. A degree plan is a description of course requirements for a particular career path.

With the proper guidance, time, and effort, you can successfully earn two degrees while you are in college. Be sure to speak with your academic counselor or advisor as soon as possible if you have any questions or concerns about a double major.

What are my chances of getting into UBC for MS in CS?

B.Sc. (H) Computer Science from Delhi University(India) in 2015 - 90%.

I received 2 certificates of excellence because I was ranked 2nd and 1st in 3rd and 2nd year of graduation.

M.Sc. in CS from Delhi University - 83%

One year work experience as software developer.

I haven't really taken part in Olympiads or other competitions.

But once, I had been given presidential scholarship for MS in South Asian University. Although, I refused the offer because I found something better.

Apart from studies and work experience, I just work on small projects of my own and I have also gained a web component developer certificate from Oracle. I recently published 3 apps on Amazon Alexa store.

Other than that, I have a few medals and certificates in cycling, scouts & guides and I had done 1 month of volunteering/internship work in Malaysia. And a few other things…

I still have to take the IELTS exam but I am not worried about that.

So, I want to do MS in CS from the University of British Columbia.

What are my chances? Or suggest me some other Canadian University where I might get in for the same course? Do I need to take GRE as well?

Thank you all in advance

Why management education is necessary to succeed in business?

During the seven years that I worked as a management consultant, I spent a lot of time trying to look older than I was. I became pretty good at furrowing my brow and putting on somber expressions. Those who saw through my disguise assumed I made up for my youth with a fabulous education in management. They were wrong about that. I don't have an M.B.A. I have a doctoral degree in philosophy-nineteenth-century German philosophy, to be precise. Before I took a job telling managers of large corporations things that they arguably should have known already, my work experience was limited to part-time gigs tutoring surly undergraduates in the ways of Hegel and Nietzsche and to a handful of summer jobs, mostly in the less appetizing ends of the fast-food industry.

The strange thing about my utter lack of education in management was that it didn't seem to matter. As a principal and founding partner of a consulting firm that eventually grew to 600 employees, I interviewed, hired, and worked alongside hundreds of business-school graduates, and the impression I formed of the M.B.A. experience was that it involved taking two years out of your life and going deeply into debt, all for the sake of learning how to keep a straight face while using phrases like "out-of-the-box thinking," "win-win situation," and "core competencies." When it came to picking teammates, I generally held out higher hopes for those individuals who had used their university years to learn about something other than business administration.

After I left the consulting business, in a reversal of the usual order of things, I decided to check out the management literature. Partly, I wanted to "process" my own experience and find out what I had missed in skipping business school. Partly, I had a lot of time on my hands. As I plowed through tomes on competitive strategy, business process re-engineering, and the like, not once did I catch myself thinking, Damn! If only I had known this sooner!Instead, I found myself thinking things I never thought I'd think, like, I'd rather be reading Heidegger! It was a disturbing experience. It thickened the mystery around the question that had nagged me from the start of my business career: Why does management education exist?

Solve the problem Sin3A?

it completely relies on the value of A.
