Putting makeup on your skin is a bad idea if you want to remove after marks. Makeup clogs up your skin pores and creates more pimples. You could try to wash your face with cold water instead of warm water. Don't scrub too hard or it will leave dry skin. Or you could try buying acne products.

I don't know how to completely get rid of it but i have found a product at dollar general store that is called "clear zit" that seems to work pretty good. It is drying but that's better than the acne. It's worth a try.

try toothpaste for swelled up spots and a good spot gel type stuff to do the rest - i use 'clean and clear'

Yes. It may just mean you have particularly dry skin. If you go to your doctor's I'm sure they'll prescribe a medical type of lotion for it. I have it on my arms and the doctor prescribed Hydrolatum lotion. It works great !
