If he has been taking the medication for some time and has other ways of dealing with his ADD/ADHD such as he is able to understand his problem and how to cope with the situation he may be ready to stop the medication. I have been scaling down from 100 MG and the day after I took my last pill (25 MG) I got incredibly dizzy and found it more difficult to concentrate than before. If you begin noticing rash, hives, or swelling. Discontinue use immediately and contact your doctor.

Yes you can take creatine at any age really. There is no need to cycle creatine on and off. You can continue to take one scoop (5 grams) every day and be fine. The dosage amount that was prescribed by the doctor and ONLY the dosage amount that was prescribed by the doctor. A person should never take someone else's medication or follow directions on taking prescribed medications from anyone other than a medical professional.

My daughter takes hers in a banana,pudding anything. Also the capsule can be opened and sprinkled on pudding although it tastes nasty according to my kid.

My son was on Strattera for quite some time and he has stomach discomfort and nausea the whole time. It didn't matter if he took it with or without milk his stomach still got upset. It also caused him to cry a lot and be VERY emotional. We switch him to Concerta and the side effects seem to be very minimal. (he's been on it for over a year now) If the symptoms continue I would consider having your doctor change the medication!! Hope that was some help!!

No negative effects, I'm on 25 MG a day. I didn't trip as hard as usual, but I'm also on zoloft and I think the shrooms were just bad. I ask my psychiatrist every time I get prescribed something if I can eat mushrooms with it, and she said I'd probably be fine. And I was.

My 14 year old son has been on Strattera for two months and complains of heart burn.

I am a 52 year old male eating a fairly bland diet. I won't say that Strattera causes frequent heart burn but it appears to contribute significantly to mine.

yep, seems to be a side effect. i am 30 years old and am trying this medication. i have never had heart burn in my life. i woke up this moring (3 am) to horrible heartburn pain. i had to run to the store to get rolaids (didn't help). so here i am still awake and in pain. i also have severe diarreha that has been going on for the last 4 days. this is my seventh day. if these problems continue i am not going to keep taking it.

I am 16 and have been on Strattera for a week (4 days of 18mg and 3 days of 25mg). I have noticed slight heartburn. I never have had it in my life. It's not bad, but I don't know if it's worse putting up with adverse effects or ADD.

My 11 year old son just started taking Strattera 2 weeks ago. He has never had Heartburn before, however now he gets severe pain within 5 minutes of eating anything. The pain is so bad that he rolls on the floor in pain which has lasted up to 3 hours. Nothing over the counter has helped so far. I took him in to the Doctor this morning, and he told us to discontinue Strattera as this is a known side affect.

In my case, Straterra has helped me focus enough to bring my eating under control, which has significantly reduced my heartburn. I have been on it for three months with my doctor upping my dosage. I would say that no, it does not cause heartburn.

Yes. Am up to 80mg now for 5 days and now have heartburn so bad it woke me up at 3:30 am and is still with me 9 hrs later. Does anyone know if this is a temporary side-effect or is this a chronic one? I'm gonna ditch the Straterra as I also have no motivation, am chronically nauseated and breaking out in a sweat each time I finally muster the motivation to get moving physically.

I've been getting heartburn around 6pm the last few days. I think it's a combination of the Strattera, and getting too hungry -- the Strattera actually makes me forget to eat! First time in 52 years! So I take Gaviscon, which is the only thing that works for this kind of heartburn (I used to get it from eating greasy meat late in the day). So try Gaviscon, and eat a healthy snack if you can't eat a meal -- don't get too hungry. And stay away from animal fats, chocolate, caffeine, the usual things they talk about with acid reflux disease.

Hi Everybody... I wrote back in October with the question about the heartburn. Thank you all for your feedbacks. My daughter, who is now 14 has been on Stattera for about 7 months now. She's on a high dose. 60 mg in the AM and 40 mg in the PM. She still does get heartburn just about everyday, She takes Nexium with the Stattera and that seems to really help her out. The only problem is that she hates taking pills!! She was diagnosed with ADHD when she was only six yrs old. I'm still not too happy with her schoolwork...and she also has no energy to do what normal teenagers do. It does seems to make her feel tired alot, even after all this time. Does anybody have any more side effects that weren't mentioned? Thank You!! :)

All these answers were really helpful for me also. My 12 year old son has been taking this since February and the heartburn has just recently gotton worse. We may have to go back to Ritalin. It also makes him tired.

I am fifteen years old and I have been on Strattera and I have been getting really bad heart burn recently. As a matter of fact I have it really bad right now which is what led me here. I have noticed that when I take it with a meal I don't get heart burn but when i take it even fifteen minutes afterward i get heart burn really badly

I just started taking Strattera (40 mgs a day) and for the first time in my life I have heartburn!

It was so weird, and I was trying to figure out what had changed -- and then I remembered the Straterra was new, so I "googled" straterra and heartburn and this page came up.

Now at least I know why I'm having heartburn -- I don't remember reading it as a side effect on the info in the package.

I took Ritalin for almost 20 years but then was getting some anxiety so the doctor thought I should get off a stimulant.

If you are not use to taking Strattera and especially if the drug is not prescribed for you, you will get high off of it. You should only take the drug under a doctor's direction.

I have been taking effexor 75mg for 6 years. I also smoke and drink too much. I asked my doctor 12 months ago if I could take chantix she said no because of my depression in the past. 3 months ago I went back to the doctor and said I want to take chantix as I really hate smoking and need to change my life. She gave them to me but said to watch my mood.

Well I had NO side effects at all, only a little more tired but that is it! I took chantix one hour after taking my effexor in the morning.

I had my last smoke on day 5 taking chantix and have never had a urge, I can also now enjoy a wine without a disgusting cigarette. My drinking has cut down dramatically as I always enjoyed both together. I didn't need to take chantix for 12 weeks only 4 weeks. It really is a miracle tablet. I am so happy my life is back !! I have had terrible problems with overheating on strattera, to the point that I can be dripping with sweat after a 2 block walk. And I literally mean "dripping", from the sides of my face onto my clothes, my forehead into my eyes, etc. My clothes get soaked. I am on a very low dose but am thinking of stopping it b/c I cannot tolerate this sweating.

After You Peel Potatoes+++Take The Peelings Grind These Up, Give Them A Flush Into The Septic It Keeps The Bacteria Working Much Better Than These So Called Store Bought Products. Be Sure To Gring Or Cut Your Peelings And Potatoes Into Very Small Pieces To Be Able To Flush Them. Do This Every Month.
