What allowed Hitler and the Nazi party to gain in Germany so quickly?
Hitler was clever enough to utilize the general public frustration in Germany about the state of the economy (which was terrible in the 1930's) and the residual anger about the Treaty of Versailles, as well as the very foolish desire of anti-Semitic Germans to blame everything on the Jews.

What did France and England do to try to avoid war with Hitler?
The Allies (including France and England) had made an agreement with Germany after the first World War called the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler broke the Treaty by doing things like marching troops into the Rhineland in 1936, but the first thing he did when the Nazis came to power in 1933 was build up the army and air force. These things were all forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles, but the Allies used appeasement - the policy of giving in to avoid war - which lead to Hitler taking over Austria and the Sudetenland, then a few months later the rest of Czechoslovakia (as it was called then) and finally Poland, which caused Britain and France to declare war.
What did Hitler annex in Czechoslovakia?
In September 1938 the German chancellor Adolf Hitler had already united Austria to Germany and wanted to bring the Sudeten Germans under his rule. The mountains surrounding Bohemia (the Czech part of Czechoslovakia) were populated by ethnic Germans but the boundary was drawn in favor of the Czechs for defensive purposes. The British and French premiers met Hitler in Munich and agreed to the change of boundary, and the Sudetenland was annexed to Germany. But in March 1939 Hitler then occupied Bohemia and Moravia as a protectorate (not annexed), Slovakia was nominally made independent but its government was protected by Germany, and Ruthenia, the easternmost part of Czechoslovakia, was annexed to Hungary.

Why did Hart Crane kill himself?
Crane suffered from bouts of depression, and saw his poetry as an attempt to combat what he saw as a debased, materialistic world; further, his career had various ups and downs, he had troubled relations with his family, and deep ambivalence about his sexuality. As for a specific precipitating event, there is some speculation about his having made a spurned advance toward a crew member on Orizaba (the ship he jumped from), though without some word from him, no one knows for sure.
It's wonderful that you would care enough to post this question and I am so sorry that both of you are going through this. It is more common than you think. Often the person mentioning suicide in these circumstances does not go through with it, but when the word "suicide" is mentioned we must pay attention and believe they will go through with it. In order for you to walk away from this with as clear a conscience as possible the best thing you can do is phone your local Mental Health in your area or seek out the advice from a Psychiatrist as to what you can do about this situation. I have no doubt that your boyfriend will absolutely refuse to see a Psychiatrist. You could see his mother (if she is approachable) and tell her about it, but unfortunately, parents are often in the dark when it comes to getting help for their adult children, or they have no control over them. She may even implore you to stay with him "for awhile" or "until he gets over this", but you have to do what you can and move on. It is obvious that you cannot stay trapped with this young man and having his threats entangle you in a relationship you don't wish to be in. Good luck Run for your life because that guy is selfish and blackmailing you. If your partner is threatening suicide then it is the first sign that they may be violent later on in the relationship. He is manipulating you. You are not responsible for his actions. Also look up borderline personality disorder. DO- tell someone that he has been threatening suicide- tell his family, tell your family (they need to know your situation for your safety), tell a doctor, tell the police. DON'T keep this a secret. He may have a mental illness and need medications to correct a chemical imbalance. ALSO: Do not pursue a future with this individual. He is using a control mechanism. Look up: Abuse, Emotional Abuse, Controlling behavior, Control mechanisms. DON'T LET HIM TRAP YOU! & KEEP YOUR SELF ESTEEM VERY HIGH!

How Hitler failed and succeeded?
The Nazi Party failed for a number of reasons. 1) They spread out their troops amongst the world, not in one attacking force. The biggest known mistake was Operation Barbossa where Hitler attacked Russia. He expected to quickly conquer Russia but did not realize the will of the Red Army. The German army was supplied with summer clothes as the attack on Russia was in the summer. However, the Russians held out until the winter where most of the German soldiers either froze to death or lost the will to fight. 2) They ran out of resources. Germany did not supply key battlefields in the war. Hitler was not concerned with the African Korps and did not supply them with food and oil so they were basically starved. When the African Korps ran out of oil they could not hold the southern end of the battlefield so Italy was open for attack, and later southern Germany. 3) Hitler killed most of the leadership when they began to fail, and replaced them with inexperienced leaders. 4) German scientists defaulted and refused to continue building the Atomic Bomb. Albert Einstein is one notable scientist that assisted America in building the nuclear warhead. If this had no occured, it is quite possible the Germany could have developed the weapon and used it to win the war.
