Air Compressors

A machine for generating compressed air, typically for use by air-powered tools or paint sprayers. The compressor takes in air at atmospheric pressure, and increases it to any pressure between 1 psi above atmospheric, and 10,000 psi above atmospheric. Air compressor motors can range from fractions of a horsepower, to multiple thousands of horsepower.

Can you bypass the air conditioning on a 1988 Chevy Corsica with a 2.8 engine?

i have a 96,4cyl. i purchased a special pulley to bypass the condenser, but found it much easier to buy a shorter belt.i ran string around the pulleys and measured it and added a 1/2 inch to an inch and it fit tight, but i hit it the first time.saved a ton of hassle removing the condenser and replacing it with pulley.there should be a belt diagram on the hood.

Your fuse for your air suspension blows on your 1992 Lincoln town car?

Check the air compressor for short

There are only a few wire's running to your air compressor and if none of those are causing the problem you are going to have to try and get under the rear of the car where the two wiring harness's are at each air bag and start from there working towards the front to try and find a loose wire or a bad spot. other than that your bags may have leaked causing your compressor to work over time and just blown the fuse and also wore out the compressor.

How can you tell if the air compressor is gone bad in a 94 Honda accord lx?

What does it mean when the mechanic says the air compressor that he just installed is taking to much air?

I've worked with air compressors for 30 years and that sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. Ask him how to check the blinker fluid.

You need to connect a compressor which is rated at 240V ac but it is hooked up to a 120V power supply so you're uncertain on how that could be and how to connect the compressor?

Your compressor is a dual voltage compressor. The original installer followed the instructions to switch it (probably internally) to the 230 volt setting or to internally wire it for that voltage. The label or information plate on the unit may only indicate the higher voltage rating. You don't have to do anything.

How long will a 4 cfm air drill last on 100 gallon tank pressurized at 3000 psi with a regulator stepping it down at 90 psi?

well, 100 gallons at 3000 psi is 3333 gallons at 90 psi, which is 443 cubic feet, or 110 minutes. However, most air tools are rated for cfm's at atmospheric pressure, which is 14.7 psi at the surface, so 2714 minutes. This is average usage, not continuous, but still quite a long time. Now, if you go down 33 feet, the pressure doubles, so you have to cut the time down - the actually calculation is hazy, as the ambient pressure doubles, but the pressure differential does not - however, you will need to increase the pressure going to the tool by 15 psi for every 30 feet of depth, or else it won't work right.

What does a compressor on a car do?

It compressed the refrigerant. It may also have an air compressor if the vehicle has an air ride system.

How long does oil free air compressors last?

What is compressor use for?

compressor is used for compress the gas or liquid to a certain level "Based on design" like In a air-conditioning compressor is used for compress the gas on high temperature and high pressure in the result gas convert to high temperature liquid form.

Air compressor will not compress air?

Where is 1988 cadillac deville radiator fan relay located will not stop?

There are 2. one under the dashboard on the right. The fan relay is the second from the bottom on the left. There is a other one under the Hood. There are three relays to your right when you open the hood(behind the battery) one is for the fan, but I don't know which...Have the same problem, fan will not stop running, i think the relay is stuck.

Good luck!

Leslie

If you tap on one of the 3 relays lightly with say a wrench then that might clear it up; worked for me.

Is poor compressor can cause high head pressure in an air cooled condenser?

Poor compressor performance should result in low head pressure as the system cools better than the compressor can pump.
