Is there a link between allergies and Lichen sclerosus you suffer multiple allergies Could you be allergic to your husband you have developed lichen sclerosis as well as asthma since you met?

Pay particular attention to the first word: lichen! A lichen is a fungus/algae combination. (The algae make sugar to feed the fungus!!!) I have lichen sclerosis myself and just started on an anti-fungal diet. Check out Doug Kaufman's www.knowthecause.com. It's unbelievable what fungi can do to the human body. All your doctor will do is give you cortisone cream which encourages yeast growth and DOES NOT cure the lichen sclerosis!!! My doctor has agreed to let me experiment with this diet. If I see improvement, I will ask her for anti-fungal prescriptions plus there are natural anti-fungals that you can buy at the health store such as malic acid (apple cider vinegar also) or olive leaf extract. I'm giving it a try because I'm tired of being in pain. www.knowthecause.com also talks about allergies in one of his books. You'll be amazed at all the diseases caused by those little fungi! Good luck!

Can a child that has asthma and severe food allergies be left alone in the house of an unrelated 13 year old child for 4 hours?

No, it is not illegal. But it is against his better judgement. If this is something that you think will continue to happen take him to court for neglect.

my son was supposed to be under his father's care for the afternoon, instead he was left at the house of his father's girlfriend with her 13 year old son for 4 hours. My son is having asthma for the last 3 weeks and has severe food allergies that can put him on anaphilactic chock if he eats foods he should not. Is it legal what his dad did or not? We live in Los Angeles.

Could someone give me some ideas about the constant pain i feel in my left hip It is not excruciating just a dull pain sometimes it spreads to my knee I am only 25 not overweight or unwell?

You may be having an arthritic problem. Arthritis is not limited to older people and you may be having a problem with the hip joint for one reason or another. The only way to find out is to see your doctor and get it x rayed etc. If You are in Australia you would be best of seeing your GP who will probably send you out for x rays. from there he may have to refer you to a specialist like a rheumatologist to sort the problem out further. what ever you do however get it checked out it will save you a lot of unnecessary pain.

Can Burgers disease occurs with no kidney symptoms?

No.

gA nephropathy (nuh-FROP-uh-the) is a common kidney disease that occurs when an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) lodges in your kidneys. This hampers your kidneys' ability to filter waste, excess water and electrolytes from your blood. Over time, IgA nephropathy - also called Berger's disease - can lead to blood and protein in your urine, high blood pressure, and swollen hands and feet.

IgA nephropathy usually progresses slowly over many years, and although some people eventually achieve complete remission, others develop end-stage kidney failure. No cure exists for IgA nephropathy, but certain medications can slow its course.

Keeping your blood pressure under control and reducing your cholesterol levels also may help keep IgA nephropathy in check.

Does asthma inhalers contain ethanol?

Asthma inhalers do not contain ethanol. If someone told you that they are incorrect so don't believe that person. Ethanol would harm the bronchioles of the lungs.

To the contrary, there are four brands of albuterol inhalers. They are Ventolin HFA, Proventil HFA, Xopenex HFA and Proair HFA. Three of them contain Ethanol while one, Ventolin, does not.

Clenil Modulite (A brown preventative inhaler): Each actuation (puff) from your inhaler contains about 9 mg of ethanol. That's what the leaflet that comes with the inhaler says. Apparently 9 mg of ethanol is equivalent to an actual volume of 0.011ml.

What does asthmatic mean?

A person suffering from asthma; "she is a chronic asthmatic"; "the painful gasps of a dying asthmatic". Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system in which the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators. Between episodes, most patients feel fine. The disorder is a chronic inflammatory condition in which the airways develop increased responsiveness to various stimuli, characterized by bronchial hyper-responsiveness, inflammation, increased mucus production, and intermittent airway obstruction. The symptoms of asthma, which can range from mild to life threatening, can usually be controlled with a combination of drugs and lifestyle changes. Public attention in the developed world has recently focused on asthma because of its rapidly increasing prevalence, affecting up to one in four urban children.[1] Susceptibility to asthma can be explained in part by genetic factors, but no clear pattern of inheritance has been found. Asthma is a complex disease that is influenced by multiple genetic, developmental, and environmental factors, which interact to produce the overall condition.

Why does my throat produce a whistling sound while breathing?

The characteristic whistling sound is known as respiratory wheezing and occurs most often in people with asthma.

My recommendation is that you consult a medical practitioner (doctor) to have your symptoms evaluated. You may be diagnosed with asthma or it may simply be a cough or inflammation of the trachea.

If you are experiencing breathlessness or chest pain, call an ambulance immediately or seek urgent medical attention as this could indicate the onset of a more serious medical condition.
