Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w-40 (On BMW's approved oils list)

A BMW 525i wiring diagram can be found at dealership service centers. These centers host a database of repair schematics for every BMW model and will print out a diagram when requested.

A; A Synthetic oil is reccomended for most/all BMW's. (which brand is up to you)

The owner's manual will usually give you the best answer, however, in the older (1998-2000) 528i series it is Mobil 1 0W-40. It is also referred to as the European Blend.

You have to remove the splash guard inside the wheel well to access the lamp 1. Turn the wheel to the outside to access the two screws towards the front of the wheel well. 2. You then need to remove two plastic plugs connecting the wheel well splash guard to a "body side" splash guard. Note that there are two screws that connect the splash guard to the bumper. These screws are accessible from the bottom of the bumper. You may want to jack up the vehicle to gain access to these screws. 3. Now note that I didn't remove the entire wheel well splash guard. By removing the screws at the front I was able to push the guard aside to access the bulb. 4. It was difficult to remove the wire harness cable from the bulb. The plastic clip that secures it in place is much like the one on the headlamp and it is located (at least mine was) towards the bottom of the vehicle. You have to release this plastic clip to disconnect the wire harness. 5. Disconnect the harness 6. Then I had to use a needle nose pliers to rotate the lamp counterclockwise to remove it from the socket. 7. Using the needle nose pliers I then inserted the new lamp, turning clockwise to secure it in place 8. Connect the wire harness 9. Re-connect the splash guard Good luck.

Extremely vague question, but here is a list of common problems to check out (also if you don't have a service engine light on it may be something simple)...

a) make sure engine air filter is not obstructed

b) spark plugs may need to be changed

c) sludge in the engine from failure to change oil when required or using improper oil

d) Air leak in your intake manifold

e) wrong fuel used

f) clogged fuel filter

g) failing fuel pump

h) clog in your fuel lines

i) clog in your fuel injectors

j) Oxygen sensors bad

k) air mass sensor is dirty, or failing

Only a tech can tell you for sure

The lamps are spring loaded on one side. Push the lamp towards the center and remove. Put in bulb and snap back in.

Crowbar

Under rear seat bottom cushion, passenger side. Push cushion towards trunk and lift. Very difficult.

You need a "Torx" wrench - Size 10.

1) You remove the knob by pulling it striaght towards you.

2) In the 6 o'clock position (right underneath the remaining knob), there's a slot for the Torx wrench

3) Put the wrench in and turn counter-clockwise and the radio just pops out

4) Slide out and you're done

modern BMW 6 cylinder engines take 7 quarts of oil. that's from about 1995 to current production.

On mine it is mounted on the center rear of the roof.

No, it has a cam chain (runs inside engine housing) not as a rubber belt as normal engines. This is valid for M57 and M57N engines as far as I know.

the 328i BMW if it is the M52 engine should be using 5w30 synthetic oil, same as the 2.8 Z3

Remove the plastic dust cap, drive out the 2 pad retaining pins, and remove the pads. Pay attention to the anti-rattle spring so that you reinstall it correctly.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's a black 8 pronged cap (looks like a boat steering wheel) on black canister, located on the drivers side of the engine bay. Be sure to follow the cold or hot indicator marks.
