If one piece of bread has mold on it should you throw out the whole loaf?

I usually don't. As long as you throw out the moldy pieces, it's usually okay to eat the rest. (Or at least I've never gotten sick from doing that).

Another opinion . . .That depends what you want to do. Frequently, a piece of mold in one area of the loaf could mean that mold is growing elsewhere - you just can 't see it yet. I have had a whole loaf taste moldy, but located the mold on the last slices.

How many calories in a half bagel?

One generic plain bagel with no added spreads can have around 245 calories, but some rise up to 280. Cutting it in half would naturally halve the calories as well. Check on the nutrition label to see what the calories in a whole bagel are, since it varies by brand, and then just divide that by two.

How much does a sales person bimbo bakeries US make?

It is difficult to provide any one figure. Bimbo employs delivery drivers who most likely work for an hourly wage and/or commission, but they also utilize "independent contractors" who sell and distribute their products. Each territory (or route) is unique and like any business, profits vary depending on the location of the market, current product trends and the willingness of the salesperson to work hard and commit the hours to increasing sales. The territories can be quite profitable, but long hours (60+ per week) are typically required in order to maintain a profitable one. Be aware, though, that although Bimbo classifies some of their delivery drivers as "independent contractors", the company maintains tight control of these individuals, (their schedule, the customers they are required to serve, etc.) yet each driver is responsible for all the operating costs of his/her route. This includes the cost of a delivery vehicle, insurances, merchandising staff in larger retail locations, inventory, etc.

Answer:White bread decays first as it holds more moisture, whereas brown bread has more chemicals to keep it fresh. Answer:The rate at which bread will deteriorate depends upon many things including: the formulation, the use of preservatives, the quality of the ingredients, the cleanliness of the production facility and the handling of the product after cooking. What types of bread are eaten in Portugal?

Bread is a very important subject to Portuguese people. You will find an unusual diversity of breads in Portugal specially when compared with other European countries. Shapes, cereal grain used, mixtures, etc are so diverse that you will always find the perfect bread for any occasion on a simple Portuguese supermarket. We can categorize bread within their grain cereal. So in general you will have:

- Pão Branco (literally White Bread) which is made with wheat cereal but only a part of the grain is used, thus a nutritional part is lost, but in the other end its a very easily digestive type of bread.

- Pão de Mistura (literally Mixed Bread) which is made or with a mixture of cereal grains or with a mixture of the same cereal grain but with different amounts of all grain and refined grain.

- Pão Integral (Literally Integral Bread) which is made with all grain.

- Pão de Milho (Cornbread) which is made with corn grain.

All this types of bread are then cooked in different ways (wood oven, industrial oven, etc.), and with different techniques and with different shapes which will result in different taste breads. Its also very common to see bread with olives on it or spices or even chorizo.

Some of the most common breads are known as Broa, Carcaça, Bola, Cacete, Pão Saloio and Pão Alentejano.
