What size wipers are needed for a 2000 Buick century?

The 2000 Buick Century takes 22" wiper blades on both sides front. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

1998 Buick century after rain storm has water leak on passenger side how does the water come into the car and how to stop?

Some GM "W" body cars are equipped with a HVAC air filter. This filter is at the base of the windshield on the passenger side under the hood. Look up how to replace this filter for more info. The problem most often seems to be the weatherstrip above the filter becoming dislodged when the filter is changed. Go through the filter replacement procedure and reinstall the weatherstrip. When reinstalling add a bead of black RTV silicone or weatherstrip adhesive to the channel that attaches it to the car. Then press that channel closed with your fingers. It is reinforced with metal so it should keep it's shape once you press it. Reinstall the weatherstrip to the metal seam above the filter and carefully reinstall the valence. If you're worried about the weatherstrip wait to reinstall the valence for an hour or so. I've been told all "W" body GM cars have this same problem, so all 1997 through 2004 Buick Regals (mine is a 2001) and many other GMs have this problem. MY 2001 Regal would get 1-2 inches of water on the passenger side floorboard after a rain. There are three things that can be done to prevent this and all three are quite easily accomplished. As stated above, there is a water diverter weatherstrip above the filter that can become dislodged. Mine was out of place even though the filter had never been changed. I used the RTV method to glue this weather strip back in place. I also made a cover out of an old plastic 1 gallon antifreeze jug by cutting the ends off and then splitting it down the middle and doubling it to cover the filter but still remain above it so that air is not blocked. Once you pull the coweling, which is very easy to do with one plastic screw like fastener and two plastic "rivets" that you just pull out with needle nose plyers, you'll see what needs to be done. Speaking of the coweling, lastely I put a bead of RTV between the coweling and the windshield before puting it back on.

So for one tube of RTV, one old plastic jug, one hour of time using a pair of pliars and a knife I have fixed what had been a real PIA water leak. EASY!

What is the cost to replace intake manifold gasket set on 2001 Chevy Malibu?

The actual part ( the manifold gasket set ) runs about 80-100 dollars ( i called around got some quotes from Napa , Oriley...etc. ) but the main cost comes from labor, and there is a lot of it! You basically have to take the engine apart to get to the lower one. Overall, ( and i jsut had mine changed out two weeks ago ) the cost is around 700 dollars at a Chevy dealership. I have seen prices near and above $1000 from other smaller auto shops.
