What years are compatible with 1985 Buick Riviera 5.0?

The 1985 Buick Riviera with a 5.0-liter engine shares its platform with several models from the same era, particularly the 1984 to 1985 Buick Riviera. Additionally, parts from other GM vehicles that utilize the same engine and components, such as some models of the Oldsmobile Toronado and Cadillac Eldorado from the mid-1980s, may also be compatible. However, for the best fit and compatibility, sticking to the Riviera of the same model years is recommended.

What kind of coolant for 1995 Buick Riviera v6 supercharged?

For a 1995 Buick Riviera with a V6 supercharged engine, it is recommended to use a high-quality, ethylene glycol-based coolant that meets the GM specification. A 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water is ideal for optimal performance and protection against corrosion. Look for coolants labeled as "Dex-Cool," as they are formulated for GM vehicles of that era. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations and guidelines.

What is the 1995 Buick Riviera gas tank capacity?

Actually, according to my owner's manual ('95 Riviera), it's 20 gallons. a zillion gallons

I think it's somewhere around 18 gallons. Don't quote me though. I just bought my 1997 Riviera and the dealer put a couple gallons of gas in it before I left the lot (gas light was still on, was basically bone dry before he put gas in it). It cost me $33 to fill it at $2.05 a gallon. That's 16.1 gallons that I put in it myself, so if I'm correct that the dealer put in about 2 gallons the capacity is 18 gallons. I'm pretty sure the 95 and 97 have the same tank, not positive though.

95 buick riviera supercharged 3800 Why is there no power to the right side of the fuse bank inside drivers side door No wipers cooling fans radio climate control panel etc ABS light on also.?

Check the fuse, then check power at the fuse, if the fuse is blown or there is no power this could be your problem. If the fuse is good and theres power, you will need a wireing diagram, to check for possible short to ground. ABS light could be ABS relay (under hood).

What are the main problems with 95 buick rivieras?

1990 buick riviera wont start inside lights are sevearly dimmed and nothing electrical works?

My car is the same model and it's doing the same exact thing right now. When i turn it over, the electronics click off..You can take the battery terminals off and put them back on and the electronics will come back on, and occasionally it will turn over but will never crank. Once, I put a fresh battery on it and it cranked right up and ran fine, but when I turned it off and tried it again, it would not start...Have you resolved your problems yet? I had a mechanic look at it and he's saying the fuel pump which I am gonna replace this week, although I still wonder why the electronics would kick off when I try to start it? Maybe the battery has a low charge..Good Luck.

1995 buick riviera the battery died and now the car will crank but wont start the horn will not work except when the alarm goes off and the door lights will not turn off is it the VATS module?

It might be your module, because I too have a 95 Buick Riviera Supercharger, and I just recently replaced my battery, alternator, starter and other misc items. I was driving my car one day and it died, and would not start. I ended up getting the car towed, and my mechanic ran a few test, then he hooked up a used module, and the car started fine. My car was cranking and turning over, it just wasn't starting. You might want to also have your fuel pumped checked, as well as your crank shaft and sensor. Hopefully this helps.

Location of Neutral safety switch on Buick Riviera?

You do not give a year, engine size, trans type........ so the generic answer is on the shift shaft of the transmission behind the shift cable's lever and mounted to the trans case. On a FWD trans, it is a foot below the brake master cyl.

How do you remove factory stereo from 95 Buick Riviera?

read this whole thing before removing.

first off you have to remove practically the whole dash. first there is a kick panel on each side of the dash between the doors and the dash pull that off carefully not ruin the clips there should be 1 bolt on each side after you get off the panel, note those bolts also hold up the heater vents and be careful not to let those vents fall off when removing the dash. there are also screws underneath the dash that should be removed, here is the tricky part there is a lip that hangs over the front of the speedometer and gauges underneath that lip are clips probably about six remove those clips that piece underneath should pull right out, then there are bolts that go all the way across dash underneath that lip remove those as well, in order to remove the dash you can remove the dash completely but it is not necessary if you do you need to unhook the headlight switch and the other plugs that are attached to the dash. its easier to have one person pull it out just enough to get to the stereo out.

now there are about 3 hidden bolts behind the radio and two or four in front you have to reach between the radio and climate control in order to reach those bolts you will also notice the climate control and radio are connected. before you pull them out you must disconnect them, note that if you cant pull the radio out you are missing one of those bolts in the back if you are installing an aftermarket radio, "get a wiring harness" walmart carries them for about 5$ well Worth it! due to the steering wheel controls and heater are controlled thought the radio as well. good luck hope that helped....... any questions im at keithmasterflex@yahoo.com

How do you fix a loose steering column on a 95 buick riviera no signal lights as a result can it be fixed or have to replace it all together?

Good news ! It can be fixed, but requires several special tools that are somewhat expensive. You should be able to find an independent garage in your area who can do it for around $150. Due to the security system on this car, I would only change the column as a very last resort, and then again it should only be done by a shop.

Will pulling the airbag fuse disable it on 1997 Buick century?

yes. but fuse no 31 goes to the front pass airbag. The front driver may have to go through a different more complex procedure. But remember to disconnect the neg battery terminal for 30 min before pulling fuse no 31. Dont pull no 5 fuse underhood because you will disable both of them and there is more to do with the stering column etc. I can only speak for the passenger side
