Why adsl upload speeds slower than download speeds?
This is by design, and is reflected in the name - the A in ADSL stands for Asymmetric, reflecting the fact that the speed is not the same in both directions.
There are both technical and marketing reasons for this. On the technical side, it is simpler to provide high speed in the download than the upload direction. On the marketing side, this allows companies to sell high download speeds to private customers for a relatively low cost, since download speed is what most households are interested in, while at the same time charging much more for business customers that need high upload speed as well.

Application of logic gates in mobiles?
What is this question really asking? If you are asking if you will find a 7400 IC in a phone, the answer is most likely no. If you are asking is there logic gates such as AND, OR, XOR, NOT gates in a mobile phone then the answer is yes, thousands if not millions of them. Where are they used in the phone? Everywhere from the CPU to the display of the screen, power management, you name it, they are there.
BTW: You should know that the CPU is nothing more than a collection of logic gates. A CPU may seem to work by magic, however I can assure you that there is nothing magic going on in a CPU.
What ia a uniquie number assigned to a computer on the internet?
The unique number assigned to a computer while online is the IP address. The Internet Protocol address is a series of groups of numbers get sent back and forth so you can be found by other computers and other computers can find you. It is like your phone number. What is the best Internet connection in the Philippines?
PLDT my DSL is the leading folowed by Smart BRO and the last is Globe Broadband.
What is this 'device' you are referring to? Are you using your phone lines in your house to run a network? If so, then no, it will be almost impossible to run a DSL modem to that network.
The reason is, a phone line network, which typically runs at 1mb per second, uses 'token ring' methology... basically one computer holds the 'token' and the other computers are constantly asking for it, and it travels ONE direction, not 2 way communication.
For the price, I would install network cards in all your computers, and run CAT5 cable, with a router near your DSL Modem. that way, the DSL modem will see one computer, but all the computers, attached to the router via CAT5 cable, will be able to access the internet.
When a computer connects to a network the computer is called?
The type of computer who connect to a network depends on what the computer will do.
Most of the time, the computer who connects to a network (LAN, WAN, Internet,...) will be called a 'client' (like a customer). This computer asks information on the network and another computer, called the 'server', will give (or serve) the client the information he needs.
If you set up your computer to give information to the people who need your information, your computer will be called a server.
In short: Your computer would be called a client (if you ask information) or a server (if you give information).

How do you connect two desktops to one DSL modem?
You need to connect your modem to a ROUTER, and then connect both desktops to the router, instead of connecting one desktop directly to the modem.
You can connect the 2 desktops to the router either with standard CAT5 network wiring (recommended), or wirelessly if you have a wireless router and suitable wireless hardware attached to the desktops.
Its really helpful if you are constructing your circuit. With simplification, you have less values to deal it and a much easier circuit to work with. But for simplification you must get the same output as the one you started with.
Do most wireless routers allow you to connect wireless and wired computers to the same network?
Many Wireless routers and switches have few inbuilt switching ports capable of connecting Wired computers to Wireless Computers on the same network to connect wired Computers also alongwith. (Not necessarily every every wireless router will be having switching ports)
Remote Desktop Services allows you to access remotely your company's server and open an application or run a desktop session. In Windows Server 2008 and earlier this was referred to as Terminal Services.

Where is a wireless router connected to a computer or modem?
A wireless router will usually be connected directly to a high speed modem between the modem and any other device. This allows the router to correctly pass internet requests from the local network (computers connected wirelessly or to a standard port) to the ISP (the high speed modem connected to the Internet port).
Connecting a wireless router to a computer would be unusual but it could function if connected to the network port on the computer provided the router-computer connection was properly configured. In this case the computer would have to be configured to route.
What is the best cable to use for DSL?
Cat6 cable is the very best. There is a Cat7 in the works but it is not yet readily available and the connector is different. So if you get Cat6 you have the very best available that will work on most everything. Coax DSL cable is superior but mainly used in industrial applications. A Cat6 shielded cable is also quite effective. In a pinch i have run two Cat6 side by side and punched the blue and orange of the first and the green and brown of the second cable on a single jack. This prevents crosstalk thus data loss. The Cat7 cable is a joke. It does not use an rj45 and is heavily shielded as to almost make it impractical.

RMS stands for root mean square. In electronics, it is the so-called DC equivalent voltage of a sine wave. It is the amount of DC voltage that would be applied to a resistance heating device to give the same heating as the AC voltage it measures. In a 120 volt AC circuit that powers up a toaster to toast bread, the peak of the sine wave is at almost 170 volts. The sine wave goes from zero up to 170 volts and then back to zero. It then goes down to -170 volts, and then back up to zero to repeat the cycle. If we applied a 120 DC battery to the nichrome wire heating elements in the toaster, it would toast the bread the same way the AC sine wave did, and in the same time. There is a mathematical explanation of root mean square, and it can be found by using the link below to the Wikipedia post on this idea from statistics. (The character set here will not support posting it.)

How does hi speed dial up work?
Almost exactly like regular dialup, except that the ISP is compressing the data sent to/from your computer so that it travels faster. There is some overhead on your computer for the software to handle this, so some older or less peppy computers will slow down using this model.
