Hi, Fuel pump is in the gas tank, you must lower the gas tank to replace it. fuel relay is a box under the hood. mine was the purple 30A one closest to the steering wheel and closest to me standing in front of the left tire. If your catera is turning over but not catching fire do not replace the fuel pump first. Mine had a problem starting or staying started and it turned out it was only a 10.00$ relay but it was not the fuel relay. It was instead the engine control module relay which was next to the fuel relay. I found this after wasting my money on a fuel pump and crank shaft sensor. The control relay i guess tells the car not to continue firing or it cuts off the fuel to the spark. Replace that first its much cheaper if so happened you had the same problem I did.

Most likely i your widow isn't going up or down will be the tracks broken. which is the mechanism that the motor uses to guide the glass. first check your fuse. if its good pill your door panel. start by popping off the tweeter. it just pulls off, not to hard though there are wires. then pull the screws you see, then with a scew driver carefuly pop out the surround on the door handle that opens the door. then all around the door are hidden screws in slots cut in the panel. last is he grab bar, pop the trim off it . now last pull the lock up and pop out the red part enough that it lets it come off. then pull the panel and remove wires. if the glass is still connected to the metal track, then its probably the motor which still comes as a kit with the track, PAY attention to how it comes out. so you put it back right. goodluck

The correct torx bit would be a T45. When replacing the drain plug, wipe the pan surface first, then install with a new gasket. a ratchet and the right sized socket

I have a 98 Catera and if the brights are on the fog lights will not turn on. I currently have a problem with getting them to come on at all. There was a squealing sound coming from the relay switch under the dash when I turned them on. I replaced the relay and the squealing stopped but still no lights. I gave up. Now one of the brights is out and I'm afraid to fix it because I have the headlamp housing rigged with foam and tape to keep the lights alined since the ajusting has broke off. It's a real shame about these cars.

If it's like my 98, it's next to the oil filter. One torques bolt holds it in place.

I would recommend using a sharp knife, but make sure you sedate the elephant first.

Any oil recommended by your local oil lube specialist. When it comes to oil, you essentially get what you pay for.

Instrument panels lights not coming on, try giving the glass in front of the dark section a rap with you knuckles or handle end of a screw driver, and see if it comes back on. If not, a bulb change might be in order.

The Radiator Drain Plug is on the bottom of the front of the car close to the left wheel. The drain plug is red and all you do is turn the plug with your hand counter-clockwise to open it.

The firing order, believe it or not, on my 98 Catera is 1-2-3-4-5-6

The oil fill is on the drivers side of the engine. There is no transmission dip stick, because it is a sealed transmission. There is a fill plug on the side of the transmission that if removed and transmission fluid leaks out, the level is fine.

The fuel pump relay is located in the fuse box under the hood.

It's adjusting to the weight of cargo in your car it should come on when first started if it stays on there is a problem with your rear air suspension =/

You will find the knob for the valve on the rear of the radiator, drivers side, bottom. You will need a flashlight. righty tighty lefty loosy

Check fluid level in the resovior tank. If fluid level is OK, check the level switch. The level switch controls the dash light. If fluid id OK, and you dont want to replace the switch...unplug it.

Interference engine be sure to change your timing belt every 60k miles if not your car is a ticking timebomb with a VERY short fuse it will bend your valves or could cause your engine to seize if the belt fails in any way

just had the same problem Auto Zone u have to order it but it only takes 1 day for delivery and it cost 215.99 brand new or 205.99 for rebuilt so of course your probably better off with a brand new one, and I will tell you I called around cheapest place i found, so good luck.....

It is built in the throttle body assembly the tps you see on line is not correct

The thermostat is located in the front of the motor, underneath the plenum and intake manifold. (Both must be removed to access it. ) Just follow the upper radiator hose on the driver's side. look under the vehicke where the fog lamps are and you will see a rubber housing that fits around the openin gof the fog lamps, Now take off the rubber seal and you will see the mini bulb and alls you have to do is push forward on both of the small springs and it will release and from there you can tak eoff the mini fog lamp bulb.

There's a star-shaped cap behind the battery (closer to the windshield) on the driver's side of the engine compartment. That's where the power steering fluid goes (I use dexron III automatic transmission fluid).
