Do 1978 Deville come with a oxygen sensor?

It is equipped with no such button.

There are two bolts holding the lamp assembly in place. Loosen these and remove. A third bold is located towards the inside edge of the assembly down around bumper height on the back side. This needs removed as well. The assembly will be loose at this time but you will need to pull on it pretty good to get it loose from a socket fitting that holds the assembly to the body. It is supposed to come apart so don't be afraid of it, just make sure to line it back up and pop it back in when you reassembly it. The bulbs are hidden behind a door on the assembly. Unlatch the door and you can replace the bulbs. Make sure to put the door back on before reinstalling. I've forgotten and had to take the assembly back out to put the door on. That's about it. Just bolt it back in.

This advice gave me the confidence to successfully change the bulb! I would add there are six tabs (or buttons) holding in place a radiator cowling which partially covers the front headlamp assemblies. Pushing the center of a button releases it and allows removal. Very small print on the buttons says same but you might not notice before breaking one. Removing the cowling helped me to visually locate and remove both the bolt at bumper height and the socket fitting. The socket fitting was very stubborn and I had to use spray lubricant, a tap of a flat bladed screwdriver and a hefty pull.

It is located in the passenger side rear head If you stand looking at the motor on the passenger side of the car next to the windshield look down the front left side you will see a wire clip with 2 wires, that is the sensor, it is removed with a 10mm wrench one bolt...

hi! i replaced a sensor on mine a few months ago. you should be glad you have a caddy. it is in a easy location while in almost all cars you have to drop the fuel tank to get to it.

i have a 2000 STS drive until you have little gas in the tank IN the trunk, pull up the carpet (behind the rear passenger side seat) you will see a little door/access panel on the floor. 6-10 bolts and a flat screwdriver to pry up the cover there's a special tool that dealers use to remove the pump but i used aflat screwdriver and hammer to work my around the metal locking ring (it was a little stuck). pull up the pump slowly so you do not damage the arm and let the gas drain back into the tank. Do what you need to do with the fuel pump. i bolted the access panel back into place but put caulk around where the black seal sealed was to seal the vapors out of the trunk. CONGRATULATE YOURSELF ON BUYING ONE OF THE MOST LUXURIOUS CARS E V E R MADE ( i own 3 caddys, a bmw, mB and 2 lexuses)

According to my Toyota dealer the answer is yes. That is why I have a 2005 XLE on order (I was waiting for 2 power front seats). However, even though they are now making 2005's in production, I can't find any more information about them.

4 on each cylinder head . One cyl is facing you upon opening the hood. Now the other side is another story. Very difficult to remove unless engine mount loosened or from underneath

Sure they'll fit, but do you really want to do that? It's one thing to put 20 - 26 inch wheels on a truck or SUV, but a sports car? Just bear in mind that a bigger diameter in the wheel well may look cool, but it's going to take longer for your tire to make a full revolution, and therefore it WILL affect the speed readout on your gauges. You're odometer will read a little bit slower than your actually going. That's an easy way to get a speeding ticket (trust me), while thinking that you weren't flying by the state patrol officer sitting on the side of the highway.

Unfortunately, you will probably have to have the ignition switch replaced to get the car started again. There are two fine wires comming off of it which connect to the computer that reads the chip in the key. They have a tendency to break. I recently had mine replaced at a Caddy dealer for about $400.00. I later found a locksmith that said they would have done it for Approx. $250.00. (Yeah, I'm still hurtin' over that one!) You might be able to change it yourself, but with all the things that could go wrong, the airbag system, etc, while dropping and getting into the steering column, it's not necessarily a good idea to try.

The Rear Caliper Bottom Bolt head size is 12 mm. The Top bolt is enclosed only making it a slide bolt therefore you cant and really have no need to remove it. So the only bolt you should remove is the bottom 12mm head bolt. Then there will be a 14mm bolt that will hold the Emergency Brake Cable Bracket to the Caliper. Loosen this bolt and remove the Emergency Brake Cable Bracket from the Caliper. Then pry the bottom of the caliper up off the disc. This will allow you to swing the caliper up then push the caliper back to slide the caliper off the enclosed bolt slide at the top of the caliper. This will allow access to the inside and outside pads to remove them and allow you to press and rotate the Piston (Push and Twist-in Pistons) back into the Caliper with the right Brake Caliper Compression tool. The rear two Caliper Bracket bolt head sizes are 18mm. You must remove the Caliper bracket in order to remove the rear brake disc. The Front Brake Caliper Bolt is a 3/8" Allen head bolt. There will be two bolts holding the front calipers to the Spindle. The Front calipers are standard push-in Pistons.

There is a ball joint on the lower control arms of the suspension that allows a rod to connect to a ride height sensor and this is how it figures out what the suspension is doing and it uses a hydraulic system to change the suspension.

The starter on the Northstar is located under the intake manifold, not an easy repair by any means.
