Remove 4 license plate screws and licence plate

Remove 4 hex head screws that hold the license plate/backup light assembly

Rotate the license plate/backup light assembly around 180 degrees so you can get to the light bulb holders

Carefully turn bulb holders 1/4 and remove bulb holder

Carefully remove old bulb and replace with new bulb (#194)

Reverse these step to reassemble

You're gonna have to remove what's left of the bolt. If it's broken off flush, you'll have to drill it out and use an extractor. If there's any sticking out, you may be able to use vise grips.

All of the 96 Cadillac El Dorado engines come equipped with?ætiming chains, not belts. These do not need replaced under normal circumstances.

Its located where your left foot would be if you were driving ( upper left corner under the dash).

Take the belt off, un-bolt the idler pulley, bolt the new pulley on, and finally put the belt back on and Viola!!

The fuel filter is located underneath the car on the drivers side, between the back wheel and the bottom of the driver's door. Depressurize the fuel line (or just disconnect it if in a pinch... no smoking while completing this operation). Twist the back half of the fuel filter off, if pressurized, a small amount of fuel should leak out. Squeeze the plastic bracket around the front of the fuel filter and pull the filter towards the wheel to remove. Replace with new filter using the opposite directions.

Turn key over and allow the fuel pump a few seconds to refill the fuel line.

it probably takes 10-W30 or 5-W30. I like Valvoline but have used Quaker State, Penzoil,Esso, Texaco.

Various weights of motor oil also depend on how old the engine is (which is another way of saying, how large the tolerances between moving parts has grown), how cold it is when you start the care (40 weight turns to mud at -20F), how hot you'll be running the car, etc. 10-W30 or 10W-40 would likely be pretty good for you. Talk to the dealer if you aren't sure.

There could be several problems including a faulty thermostat, low coolant, a bad water pump, or an operable radiator, or leaky hoses. Narrow these down and you should be able to find the problem.

Drive a couple miles and it will show a different number.

The lamp monitor system on Cadillacs allows the driver to visually check the operation of the exterior lamps without leaving the vehicle. This is accomplished through the use of light conductors (fiber optics). The conductors are used to transfer light from the individual exterior lamp to its respective monitor. The system does not use electrical power in order to operate, nor does it have any moving parts. 1. Check bulb in lamp connected to inoperative monitor. 2. If bulb is burned out, replace bulb. If lamp operates normally, proceed with further checks. 3. Check for proper installation of conductors to sealed beams or lamp housing. 4. Check conductor harness mounting to lamp monitors for proper attachment. 5. Check conductor harness routing for pinched or severely bent condition. 6. If none of the above checks reveals the inoperative condtion, the conductor light fibers have been damaged. Regards, Mike Caldwell

How low? The Northstar's oil passages are huge, and with 7 1/2 quarts of oil, it doesn't need a lot of pressure. The normal operating oil pressure is less than 10PSI, and that's at 4000 RPM. If you get a low pressure warning, it's possible the sensor is bad. They do go bad, especially after a ham-handed mechanic whacks it out of place while replacing the oil filter. They're a snap to replace, and I'll bet that's your only real problem, if any. DO NOT let any mechanic who is not COMPLETELY FAMILIAR with the Northstar mess with it, or give you advice. They don't know what they're talking about, 99% of the. This is not a 350 small block here, it's a highly sophisticated race bred engine that is completely different than virtually any other engine your mechanic might be familiar with.

To reset the service CCR light on a 1991 Eldorado, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. Reconnect it and start the car.

The refrigerant 134 loaded through the LOW PRESSURE side of the vehicle a/c system, but I will say if you are not knowledgeable, nor equipped on refrigerants-LEAVE IT TO A PRO--you could get hurt or cause damage
