How do you make it faster?

There are many ways of making a car faster, most of them are either expensive or labor intensive though. Some of these increase power, or you can do something to the transmission, lower the car, change it's shape, or remove weight.

How do you make a 125cc bike faster?

"would it go faster if i put a bigger cog on the back wheel"

no, you need a smaller "cog" or sprocket on the back wheel to up the speed, but your still only looking at a 3% gain in top end speed. try a larger sprocket on the front eg. if you have a 15 tooth sprocket change it for a 16 or 17 tooth. this should give you up to about 10 to 15% gain at most.

if you want a bit more then you'll need to look in to rejetting the carb, free flow airfilter, change the cdi for a race or unrestricted cdi, and a free flowing exhaust to help it all on it's way. but remember that even after all these mods your still only looking at a small top end gain, after all it's still a 125cc. if your looking to bring the speed up even more than you need to find a good big bore kit, but that's a lot of work and not one i'd recomened a novice to install.

How can you make a 49cc moped faster?

Hi different mopeds have different parts.

In my eyes the best moped to tune is Yamaha aerox as you can get amazing parts for these but at a price!

But your basic tuning is easy

*70cc big bore kit

*Performance exhaust ( Stage6 or Leo vince tt = less money )

*New air filter ( Stage6 )

*Bigger rollers ( Malossi or polini ) or you can go for the hole thing ( Variator kit also cut a hole in this this will help )

*Big/stronger belt (Malossi, polini, stage6)

*Boost bottle ( Doppler )

*New sparkplug run a colud one and then run a hot one see what one runs better on your bike.

They are your basic you can spend more e.G. crank shaft

need to no anymore?

What is the top speed of a polaris sportsman 800?

It will do 65 on a flat road pretty easily. I have had mine up to 70 on a downhill flat asphalt road. It is not the fastest ute out there but it will hold its own and provide the most comfortable ride out there. It will do 65 on a flat road pretty easily. What ratio of 5wt and 10wt oil equals 7.5wt?

Every source that I've read about mixing fork oil weights seems to imply that it's a linear relationship. For example, if you mix 50/50 10 and 20 weight, you'll get 15 weight. Based on that, I'd say a 50/50 mix would give you 7.5 weight. Keep in mind that it's not an exact science and there's a fair bit of variance in the actual viscosity of the same nominal fork oil weight from one manufacturer to another.

You can look at http://www.peterverdonedesigns.com/lowspeed.htm for a comparison of fork oil visocosities from various manufacturers.

What heat range in an NGK plug is required for a 1979 Yamaha XS750 Special?

The temperature of the spark plug's firing end must be kept low enough to prevent pre-ignition, but high enough to prevent fouling. This is called "Thermal Performance", and is determined by the heat range selected. The heat range has nothing to do with the amount of voltage going through the plug. Also plugs remove heat from the combustion chamber not add it.
1977-83 Yamahas used the NGK B-8ES or BP7ES gapped at about 0.6 - 0.7 millimetres or 0.024 - 0.028 inches .So your heat range equals a 7 or 8 eaqual a "colder" or cooler plug.
A cold spark plug has a shorter insulator nose and absorbs more combustion chamber heat. This heat travels a shorter distance, and allows the plug to operate at a lower internal temperature. A colder heat range is necessary when the engine is modified for performance, subjected to heavy loads, or is run at a high rpm for a significant period of time. Colder spark plugs remove heat quicker, reducing the chance of pre-ignition/detonation.

How do you make a 49cc pocket bike go faster?

this might help some onethis is as far as i got i put a new performance muffler on it,performance air filter on it and i took all the ex weight i,it go close to 48-51 my best bet is to put chainsaw enginie on it then you will go about 65-80 with more power cuz the mini pocket bikes don't have direct drive/ its a slow take off with a chainsaw enginie you have a burn out take off that's the best thing to do

Why does my Polaris sportsman over heating?

My 2002 was over heating because the fan temp switch on the lower right side of the rear of the rad was defective and not switching on soon enough. I have also had problems with air pockets and had to bleed the rad to get them out.

Make office 2007 run faster?

Step 1: Disable PDF add-in

* Click on the Logo button (upper left corner).

* Click on the Word Options in the bottom right.

* Select Add-ins in the left panel.

* Do the same steps as in Outlook. Step 2: Check for the following issues:

* Microsoft Windows is using a printer driver that is located on a network print server, instead of a local printer driver on your hard disk. When you use a remote printer driver, you may notice that it takes longer to change your default printer setting, and sometimes Word may print documents more slowly than you may expect. * Word is installed on your computer, but Word was once running from the network. When the computer is not connected to the network, there is a long delay when you are opening documents. * Fonts that are used in the Word document are damaged or missing from the system, and Word cannot substitute other fonts in the document.

How do you make the baja mini bike faster?

To make a Baja Warrior/Heat/MB200 6.45hp mini bike faster there are a few things you can do. The first and the one with the biggest payoff in terms of speed is to remove the governor. Essentially prepping the engine the way it would be prepped for Box Stock Kart Racing. Box Stock uses Honda clone engines (a copy of a Honda GX165 or GX200 engine as used in all Baja 5.5 and 6.5hp mini bikes).

First drain the engine oil. Then lay the bike on it's right had side and remove the clutch and then the jackshaft assembly (4 bolts around the crankshaft/output shaft of the engine and one at the back side of the jackshaft assembly plate. You can see it from the other side of the bike).

Then remove the engine from the bike (only 4 bolts).

Remove the gas tank from the engine.

You will see a long metal rod that comes from an activation arm that is fixed to a small shaft on the top of the engine case. that is the governor arm and rod. The shaft that the arm is bolted to goes inside the engine casing down to a centrifugal governor.

First disconnect the rod from the arm, then lift it and the spring that is wrapped around it out of the top of the carburetor. Put to one side, you will need the rod again.

Now on unbolt the arm from the shaft, you will not need this again.

Now lay the engine onto it's left hand side. so that the pull start is on the ground. unbolt the cover plate on the left side of the engine (the side the crankshaft come out). You will need to use an 8mm socket. once all the bolts are out, careful lift the cover off.

Now you can see inside the engine. You will see that the governor shaft is shaped like an L push it down from the outside so that it goes into the engine casing and then lift it out. You may not have enough room to pull it out. If that is the case push it back up again and cut the top off so it is shorter and now you will be able to push it out.

There is a black washer around the hole it went through, make sure you get that too, otherwise it will fall down into the internals and damage the engine, actually destroy the engine.

You will notice at the opposite side of the inside of the engine there is a small white plastic cog (that the governor arm pressed against) that is the centrifugal governor and that MUST come out.

What I usually do is gut through the spokes of the cog with a pair of strong wire cutters. You can then lift out the cog and all that is left is the shaft is was sitting on and the hub of the cog. That is fine you can leave that in.

Make sure you get any broken pieces of plastic out of the engine though.

Now put the side casing of the engine back on and bolt into place. The engine should have been laying on the right side (pull start side) the whole time.

Now you can stand it up. There's now a hole in the engine where the governor shaft used to be. Take a 5/16 bolt and screw it into the hole. It will cut it's own thread. that will block the hole and stop oil from coming out through it.

Now take the long rod that was on the activator arm and cut it down. It needs to go from the throttle arm (the arm that moves back and forth when you turn the throttle) to the top of the carb.

One end is already shaped like an L that goes into the top of the carb.

The other end is attached to the throttle arm. I usually attach it to the hole in the top of the throttle arm. Just cut it to the right length and make another L at the other end push it through the hole and then bend the top of the rod so it can't come back out of the hole.

Now put new oil in the engine. put the gas tank back on, put engine back in bike. Cost $0.

Now instead of the engine only revving to 3600rpm it will rev to 5300rpm. The top speed goes from 18mph to about 30mph without spending a penny, just a couple of hours of time.

Acceleration, staying power and top speed are greatly improved.

If you want more speed, go for a GTC TAV Torque Converter (replaces the normal jackshaft).

With those changes you will have even better acceleration and a top speed of about 50mph.

You can find lots of videos on how to remove the governor on a 6.5hp clone or Box Stock Preparation of a Clone engine or race preparation of a Honda or Clone engine.

DO NOT just bypass the governor, if it is still in there and the engine is revving to 5300rpm, the governor could fly apart and destroy the engine. It needs to come out, not just be bypassed.

It may take a little time, but it's well worth it. You get a massive increase in power for $0

Does a bigger rear sprocket make a pocket bike go faster at top end?

typically you want a a smaller sprocket in back and bigger one in front..

bigger one in back with stock in front will cause quicker acceleration

small on back and big in front will cause you more speed but if you put a smaller one in back put a bigger one in front

How to make a 49cc gas mini bike go faster?

How do you make a pocket bike faster?

take parts off that u dont need to make the pocket bike go faster

LOOSE SOME WEIGHT OR BUY PERFORMANCE PARTS

remove the muffler, remove plastic pieces that are not needed, bore out the cylinders and get bigger pistons, swap sprockets or get a smaller rear sprocket. (this will make it slower off the line but significantly increase top speed. just like a mountain bike in low gear)

If you take the pocket bike governor off will it make it faster?

Governors limit the RPM of the engine. Removing it will increase RPM but can cause engine damage.

How can you make your 944 turbo faster?

depends...is it stock or not? Easiest: Make it lighter ie throw out all jun, backseats, carpets, etc. Engine tuning might be more reasonable though..
