What happens if a redlight camera catches you running a red light without insurance in California?
In California your insurance is verified at registration time. To my knowledge, red light cameras do not check this as it's already checked when you register the vehicle. If you are pulled over by a cop, you're in one big fat heap of trouble, though - impounded vehicle, suspended license, fine of $500 plus the cost of towing and impound, assuming you can get your car back. (Hint: if you can afford to get your car out of impound, you can afford insurance. Which essentially means if they pull you over you're going to lose your car.) If you really can't afford insurance, then do yourself a favor, and do not commit any moving violations. None. Really. Read and memorize the California Driver's Handbook from the DMV, and live by the letter of it until you can afford insurance. Seriously! No cell phones, no distractions, check your taillights, don't screw up! If you're getting busted by red light cameras, you're driving in a way that you WILL get pulled over if you don't change. You're on borrowed time - getting pulled over without insurance is pretty serious in Cali. That said, just take the camera as a wake-up call - you're not busted yet, so don't fret too much about it this time, but if you can't get insurance then either drive with extreme care, or don't drive.

How far away is the camera and the crew when filming a reality TV show?
If it's a handheld camera, it's usually just a couple of feet away, and more distracting than you might expect. Some shows like Hells Kitchen and Big Brother also have a lot of stationary cameras which aren't nearly as close.
To master the Boss Tier (all three rounds) you need the following consumable loot.
368 Blackmail Photos
109 Illegal Transaction Records
Now for those wondering why those numbers are not divisible by three, it is because each round requires a different number of loot items.
Blackmail photos are needed by two jobs:

How do you block your neighbor from using hardwired video camera surveillance on your yard?
Please need help. Neighbor with video camera on his roof pointing at our front door. How do we disable it or block it? Nicely ask your neighboor to move the camera if possible. If this will not work, easy ways are to point a laser pointer at the camera to temporally blind the cameras image sensor. Hit the camera lens with black spray paint (if you can get to it) or in a worst case shoot out the lens with a BB gun.
They don't recommend doing this because the cam will be on all the time, or require the vehicle lights to be on for the cam to work. I have heard of some cams overheating as well from being on all the time. I recommend you hook the cam into your back up lights. This will make it so that the cam comes on only when the Truck is put in reverse. I think you have to use the black (-) and green (+) wires on the light plug. One other thing to consider is that some states might have laws against a screen being on all the time (like having a DVD player up front to distract the driver), so you might want to check on that as well. You are right. The backup light is the way to go for permanent hookup. I may consider some sort of temporary solution. Thanks for your help.
There were several processes all of which antedated Eastman Kodak which went commercial with paper-bac ked roll film in the late l880"s. Daguerrotype used metallic plates- (hence photographic plate) and some could be developed fairly rapidly- say five minutes after the shot using trick backs and in-camera development. exactly how this worked was a tightly-held trade secret- in this sense it was a forerunner of polaroid. I can remember an itinerant Daguerrotype artist making the rounds in Bronx Park as late as the very early sixties- and he had a stuffed horse as a prop for juvenile work. It was interesting to watch the process. immediately after the shot the operator took out the plate ( about , maybe exactly 4X5 horizontal) and dropped it into a chamber in the back of the camera- there was a timer and a buzzer and the process involved heat ( hot off the press) this would have used batteres to run a heating coil. It was an interesting throw-back to the classic era and survived as late as the sixties in Bronx Park. Ambrotype was a similar process but used plate glass negatives- forerunner of slides.
What produces the best quality image a digital camera or a scanner copying a film?
It depends on the scanner and on the camera. Between something like a Nikon digital SLR and a cheapie Epson scanner (all Epson scanners are cheapies to someone who's run $50,000 scanners), definitely the dSLR.
A desktop slide scanner like a Nikon will give an image that's as good as a modern quality dSLR. And it gives the advantage of film: if you need an image scanned from film to be larger, you can put it back in the scanner; if you need an image taken digitally to be larger, you're stuck.
Now let's move up several notches. Get one of the midrange pro scanners from the 1990s like a Scitex EverSmart or a Screen DT-S1030AI, and the image you'll get will be far better than you can get out of anything but an extremely high end digital camera.
At the other end of the spectrum are full-size drum scanners like Hell S3800 and Crosfield 636. The problem with those machines (besides their size, weight and difficulty of use) is they make images that are better than any equipment can reproduce.
What is the asa setting on a camera?
It is similar to ISO and is a measure of a film's sensitivity to light (or graininess of digital images). It is just a different standard organization than ISO.
ISO=International Organization for Standardization.
ASA=American Standards Association or something like that.

At what f stop you need a tripod?
The use of a tripod does not relate or depend upon the choice of aperture. It depends on a relationship between the shutter speed, the lens focal length and your ability to hold a camera properly and steadily. The general rule of thumb is, use a tripod if the shutter speed is slower than one divided by the lens focal length so as not to induce camera shake. For example, if the focal length is 250 mm, the slowest safe shutter speed would be 1/250.

What is Surrealist Photography?
Surreal photography, like surreal painting, depicts objects, people and landscapes in a non-rational or dream-like way. It is based on the 20th century philosophy of André Breton's 'La Révolution Surréaliste' written in 1924. Surrealism started in Paris but spread throughout Europe, the US and Japan. Surrealism was made popular through painting but there were also many artists who created surreal photographs to express their philosophy. Some of the best known surreal photographers include Marcel Mariën (Belgian), Maurice Tabard (French), Man Ray (American), Lee Miller (American), and Paul Nougé (Belgian).
