You would be able to tell because since he is keeping a secret from you he would act differently. They might make plans behind your backs so say if you want to go to this festival you both love on the same day of their whatever they may react differently to how they normally would and make an excuse that they are busy etc. If they are falling into an affair then they would be eager to see them regularly so they might be coming home late having to go somewhere due to work just to get out of the house / flat.

Another way to to just talk to your spouse and clear the air. Sit down and agree on not to argue and not to get angry with each other but figure out what caused the affair. If necessary, you can go to a Marriage Counsoler to help guide you and your spouse through this difficult time.

It depend on individual, and for you to love a married woman, will put you in a bad situation. There are some who fell in love with the other woman married or single and it include the man I married while having the affair but when it was discovered the man will be force to stop. But when I said it depend on each individual, I am talking about the man I marry, he told me that his mistress was already divorce just waiting for the papers to be finalize. And this is the man who have strong belief when it comes to faith. I guess he forgotten what it says in the bible. So if I were you the best thing you can do is go cold turkey means move on, leave her alone because she will not leave her husband for you. It's time ..

not necesarily he may feel too guilty or ashamed of his own behaviour and by not talking about it he wont have to remind himself of this. The liklihood is he will talk about it only when he is ready to do so. If he is trying to keep your marriage together he wont want to bring up past mistakes I can understand your need to know and try to understand what went on etc but try to put this to the back of your mind for now until he is ready to talk to you. It's not the ideal situation I know I was like your husband and I just wanted to forget it ever happened I learnt my lesson believe me! I know it must be difficult for you with him not talking about it but there will come a day you may not get all the answers but you will get something. If you both want to keep the marraige alive focus on your future together try to stay positive and if he wants to talk at any point let him do it without interruption/criticism and then he may be able to answer some of your doubts and questions.
